I think we should start the Official Old Ladies who like Matthew thread.".. Hey, why not????

I wonder who goes through tonight, I see no clear winners. I agree, the pace is slow because the talent is soooo bland! Even the judges look bored!

I wanted to hear Marque again. I was so rooting for him, and was thrilled to hear he'd be in the wild card show!!! What a joke!!

It's not fair to all four of those that were taken out. I now you've probably been over this but...why did they do it? They wasted the first half hour just to see who'd even get to perform, when in reality THEY ALL COULD HAVE! The time would have allowed 4 more performances!!! UGH!!!

I also thought that bringing in 12 to boot 4 was silly and mean.
Last year if I needd surgery I would have scheduled it when the season ended because I didn't want to miss a minute of it. This year there are some cute talented kids but I am not hooked. It almost seems as though everything is so dragged out.

I don't ever want to see that Pepto-Bismal dress ever again. Jennifer, what were you thinking??

Just WHAT do Randy and Paula see in Leah LaBelle?????

Her voice is so FLAT and off pitch I cringe when I hear her attempting to sing! And her voice is so shaky.

I just don't see OR hear what they're seeing or hearing...

For once, I think Simon is SO right in his opinion of her and her "voice."

Well so far I'm 3 for 3. I said Leah, Jennifer, and George would be judges picks, and that JPL would be America's choice, so that should be coming up soon.

I'm glad Jennifer was picked because I liked her, but Leah and George I could care less about. I hope Leah is one of the first to go. Most people don't even seem to like her anyways!

Ok...so JPL isn't my favorite..but I do think he had a great voice for that song. His corny running during the song was well...corny

Now let's get this season really going!!!

Glad to see my 2 picks (George and Pen Salesman) got in!

I also think Leah is just awful. I can't put my finger on it. I think I hear some sort of accent that really affects the pronunciation of certain words. Just sounds off key to me.

I'm distracted by the facial movements of Jennifer. I couldn't concentrate on her voice because of the overly exaggerated faces she made.

I never liked Leah...ugh.

I figured that Jennifer, George and JPL would make it. Jennifer is very good, but I'm thinking that she might be too much like LaToya, and they won't both stay in the competition for very long.

I like George, but I don't think he'll win...he really reminds me of Rickey from last year.

JPL will probably stay in the competition for a while, even though he isn't the best singer there, because of his personality...he seems like the sweetest, funniest guy! I was cracking up during his performance on Tuesday!

I'm a little embarrassed because I wanted Matt to make it into the top 12 just because I wanted to look at his hotness for a few more weeks. lol

Randy picked Jennifer, Paula picked Leah, Simon picked George, and American picked Jon Peter Lewis. I have a feeling that the first few voted off are going to be girls, because most of the guys have a big female fan base since they're cute (or hot or whatever). I personally like John Stevens because he's such a cute little redhead, but also because I do like his voice. I can't wait until this competition gets started, it will be interesting because I have no idea who's gonna be at the top (as opposed to last year it was obvious from the beginning it would be Clay vs. Ruben).

Thanks, ShuiFan. I also agree with you that the guys have all the female fans. It's a shame, though, because that's all they've got is their looks, and none of them have that wow-factor like Clay does. (I saw him in concert Friday, my god he ROCKS! <img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/11/11_1_206.gif' border=0> ) But still, not too many of the contestants this time around really tickle my fancy like last season's. I do, however, love my Johnny Stevens, for the same reasons you do, ShuiFan.

Holy Toledo!!! JLP- America's favorite tonight??? I am willing to give the guy a second chance.. but it did surprise me.

I was so very happy for George... I just get a happy feeling whenever he sings. I sooo enjoy him.
Jennifer.. Love the voice.. just hope they work on her presentation.. the "too much" facial expressions wear me out

and Leah..... OMG!! I am so glad I am not alone in my total dismay of the judges opinion of her ability....I think she may be the first one gone.....

No prob, guys, my other two guys won!! I was up and dancing with JP, he has such FUN when he's working it out. I get the feeling his dance will be the latest parody on SNL!

Leah, someone wake me up when this nightmare is OVER!!! She sang her song OFF KEY last night, don't know if the whole song was because I turned it off after the first 5 notes!!! I can only imagine Paula CRINGING when her PICK sang like that!! Especially when REAL singers were left to go home. It's sad.

The show will not be the calibre of the previous years and I think they will now lose ratings. The group is pitiful.

This kid has has tons of personality! And,he CAN sing!!! C'mon,how can you not get a good feeling watching him? He's great!! Leah is just embarrassing to listen to,she stinks.

I caught the tail end of last nights episode. I guessed them all wrong except for Jennifer. I really thought Matt was a def. b/c of his good looks. Maybe we aren't so shallow!! hehehe
I'm like many posters here. Nobody really excites me. When they brought out everyone last night, there were a few of them I had NO recollection of. Not someone I will by a cd from. Oh well. I'll give it a try for the next few weeks and see what happens (I know I'll watch EVERY show!! :0)
