Offer Club Level Upgrade for DVC Properties?

I noticed the the AKL Villages will offer a Club Level ( or Concierge Level?) upgrade. Any comments on extending this option to other DVC properties? We recently returned from Beach Club Villas and loved the experience. It is wonderful having a full kitchen. But if we could have an option like at Yacht Club where you can enjoy snacks throughout the day, wine and cheese in the evenings, it would be great. Before becoming DVC Members we stayed at Yacht Club on the Club Level and we really enjoyed meeting and talking with people from all over the country and many places throughout the world. Here's hoping for similar comments from other members on this topic.

I think it would be rather unlikely that they'd offer concierge at the existing resorts, as they'd have to reallocate the points for the resort, and build concierge lounges in the existing villas buildings.

If they were going to do it, it would most likely be at future resorts.

Given the strife with what they have experienced at AKV, I doubt that DVC would offer Concierge again (at least right away). If they do, I would expect the points to do so to be even higher than what they are at AKV.

Isn't there a prep Kitchen license submitted for BLT? Maybe that will be concierge???

It was really poor planning to have people book those rooms if there was a chance that the construction would interfere with their stay.
