Off Topic: Bright Sunlight?

DATELINE - Tuesday, January 12, 2016 . . .​

1) MrsRustyScupper and I woke up this morning, and had this bright light shining through the window.
2) It was darn near blinding as it bounced off walls and cabinets.
3) We looked into the sky and as we thought it was an early (5:00am) sunrise.
4) Nope.
5) During breakfast we talked about it and I finally come to the solution.
6) It was the smile bouncing from the broad smiles and shiny teeth of bama_ed, tiggerdad, and Kidatheart2010.
7) The rays had covered several hundred miles to get to us.
8) One can only wonder the effect of the beacon on ships at sea and planes in the air.

Oh it's nothing unusual, Scupper, just another National Championship for Bama football.

This commercial for the Bryant Museum at The University of Alabama is a few years old but still relevant - even more so with all the new hardware we earned last night.

Man, what a game. Tip my hat to Clemson and especially to Watson at QB.

OK, now that is out of the way, I would like to take this moment to say the Dynasty is not dead. Despite what the know-it-alls in sports analysts think. Oh, and since I live here in Mississippi I'll go ahead and say this to the Mississippi State fans who told me all week that they were throwing a party to pull for Clemson: Jealousy is a disease...I hope you get well soon.

You know, Nick Saban and Alabama have visited President Obama 3 times now, and given him a gift of two jerseys (one home color and one visitor white) and a helmet. They should just quit giving him things and go ahead and have one of the wings of the White House named after Saban. I mean, he's there so frequently...





Come on, Nick said he will celebrate for 24 hours, so I can gloat a little can't I?

When you win a National Championship of any kind you get to gloat! Nebraska won the Volleyball National Championship with a 3 set win over Texas, an old Big 12 foe, and we are still gloating, lol. Don't know of anyplace else in the country that would have 17,000+ people to a Volleyball match. Also, Lincoln just got done hosting the US Olympic Volleyball Qualifying for Rio last weekend, 10,000 for that. First time in 16 years US has qualified on US soil for the Olympics. Sorry to hijack the thread, Congrats to Alabama for winning the championship!

The game was amazing to the very end. Watson was truly unbelievable. Saban is definetly the new Bear. That guy is gold.

My one suggestion is moving the game to a Saturday. My husband had a very hard time getting up at 4am on Tuesday. I think he wore his Alabama shirt under his uniform though

I agree about the Saturday thing. Ok nstead of a month between the end of the season and the first semi final they should have 2 weeks and then play the championship new years day

Oh that college stuff. Although I should probably pick another team since the Rams are going back to LA so they can suck out there instead of here. I'm pretty sure if Alabama played the Rams, it would be at least a 25 point spread... for Alabama.

Ya'll know how this works, right?

Retailers/vendors prepare National Championship stuff for BOTH schools ahead of the game so they can have SOME Nattie merchandise available immediately after the big game. The team that wins, their stuff get put out for sale and into the marketplace at Dick's, Academy Sports, Hibbits, etc.

The team that loses, their stuff gets donated or destroyed. T-shirts like these will go to clothe needy people in Africa.

Guess some good can still come from it all.

PS - on to the 2016 season: Signing Day, Spring Game, summer camps, Fall Practice, Opening Day. Bama starts back in Dallas at Jerry's House on Labor Day Weekend against Southern Cal.
