Is it possible that my 5 yr old neice is 47" tall??? I've seen some many posts about 8-9 year olds not being able to get on Primevil Whirl & RNRC that I can't believe my neice is almost tall enough to ride these rides??!!!

My DS finally hit the 48" mark this summer, and he is 7 1/2!

But we've already discovered that just because you are tall enough doesn't mean that you are ready for the more daring rides. Some kids love it, some kids get the daylights scared out of them. I would rather he have to wait another year to try a ride than to try one that scares him so bad that he won't go again until he's 12! Luckily, he seems to like the thrill. :scared1:

My ds5 is 48" and 60 lbs. He was one of the bigger kids in preschool. He has a friend who just turned five a month ago and at that time didn't quite weigh 40 pounds.

I have a nephew that is 5 and DD6 is right at 14 months older than him. She weighs in at 47 inches and 41 lbs and he towers over here at 52in and close to 75 lbs.

All kids are different!

Sure, it's possible! My son was 45 inches when he turned 4. I don't know how tall he is now at age 5, I'll have to check that out! :teeth:

my DD reached 48" a month before her 5th bday; she's a little daredevil who has ridden all the rides at the earliest possible moment; the downside is she's the tallest in her class (entering 3rd now) --and the tallest in the next class and doesn't believe she'll ever be glad about it

My daughter is 3 in December and is already 39", weighing 32 lbs. I so hope she gains another 1/2 before my trip next month. With shoes, she would then be over 40" and can do Splash Mountain(she loves water rides).

My DS turned 6, 4 months ago and is only 44 inches. He is really bummed:( He wants so much to ride RnR and PW! Oh well there is only next year!!!!

My DS whos is 5 years 4 months is only 42" and about 36 pounds. Other DS is 3 years 8 months and hes almost as big at 39" and 33 pounds. I am asked so often if they are twins, I guess its because they are almost the same size. My DS5 is a peanut compared to the rest on this post.

my 4 yo DS is 43" tall. My daredevil 2 yo DS is 38" tall and probably hoping to stretch himself that extra 2 inches by our trip after Christmas so he doesn' have to fuss about brother being big enough to ride "the fast train" (BTMRR) without him. ;)

They can't help but be tall...DH is 6'4½ and I'm 5'10". FIL is 6'4" and my father is 6'3".
