Hi DIS board members!
I am so excited about all the information I have found about Disney vacation planning in the last few weeks online. My husband and I are planning a trip for the first week of May, and I'm about to burst with excitement!
Here are the details of our trip so far:
Dates: 30 April - 7 May
Resort: Port Orleans Riverside (currently a king bed reservation, but I'm still trying to figure out if that's worth the cost)
Overview: 6-day Park Hopper + 1 day at Universal. We plan to hit all 4 major parks, plus Harry Potter at Universal Studios.
Confirmed Reservations I'm Most Excited About (!):
Crystal Palace character breakfast on our first morning
Tomorrowland Dessert Party
Lunch with an Imagineer @ The Brown Derby
Backstage Magic tour
Backtstory:
It will be my second trip ever to WDW, and my first in over 15 years. Hubby went a few times as a kid (he grew up in Maine with a Disney-loving momma), and I went to DL dozens of times (I grew up in California with a Disney-loving poppa). Epcot made a big impression on me as a kid -- I have a wanderlust that I just know was influenced by the World Showcase, and I can't wait to get back and see Figment again!
The theme of our trip is "Before the Kiddies Arrive." It's our time to relive our own childhood fun, and even have some grown-up Disney experiences, before we get to see the magic through kiddie eyes in a few years. We're not pregnant or even planning yet, but since we live in California, it'll be a few years before we have the chance to get out to WDW again. Plus, we'll be celebrating his birthday and his new job!
