Off to Neverland! Shhh..It's a Surprise! Goodbye Lemmondrops, we will never forget

thinking of you and your family, jen.

i know this may sound silly, but i was flipping through the channels the other day and saw that E.T. was on. it was near the end and i started watching it and during the part where he's saying goodbye to elliott and says, "i'll be right here," and points to his head i started crying (as i always do). i think because it's so true! as long as you keep her alive in your memories, she will always be there. :goodvibes

Jen -   for you! I'll be thinking about you this weekend and praying for comfort!

Oh Jen... I am so sorry. Anniversaries are hard. Hope Tink an Lil Dis are giving you lots of extra hugs and kisses right now.

Jen - I know how you feel.. I did a spin for cancer today in memory of my Dad... (April 27, 2005) He will forever be in my heart.. I do promise that it gets easier... you never forget, but it does get easier.

Jen -

Sending hugs. We never anticipate how hard it is going to be until we go through it. That whole first year is quite difficult.

Hey JV!!!!!!

Hope you did OK this holiday. I missed my DDad a lot! I will miss him even more at Christmas and New Years Eve, since he always spent those days with us. I pray for strength for all of us who've lost our loved ones so recently.

It is important to finish, I apologize for my slowness. I am however back at it and will bring this to a conclusion.

But I start with sad news, some of you know, but for those who don't...

A friend and the wife of my DH's dear friend was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma at just weeks pregnant. A miraculous surgery was done and both her and the baby survived. Weeks after delivering her sweet baby, Emilie found out that the cancer had spread to her lungs and bones. Emilie fought an honorable fight. But sadly she passed away on Christmas Eve, holding the hand of the love of her life.

The words that Emilie wanted left after her passing...

"And did you get what
you wanted from this life, even so?

I did.

And what did you want?

To call myself beloved, to feel myself
beloved on the earth."

— Raymond Carver

An article that has been in progress, printed today in the St. Paul Paper:
Emilie Lemmons

Her funeral is tomorrow at one of the largest and most beautiful Basilica's in the US. Emilie was a beautiful writer, wife, mother, sister and friend. Lemmondrops was her place of honesty, as she shared her life with people from around the world.

A gift that I made, which I sadly didn't get to them in time. Now framed and will be delivered to her amazing husband.

Emilie left behind a loving family which includes two small children ages 9 months and 2. May her family find peace, as they move forward. Emilie will be missed, but never forgotten.
