Hey there! Read your other TR, loved it, and I think I might've let out a little excited YIPEE when I stumbled across this one this morning!

First off, to you - the way you wrote about your mom - so incredibly touching. There were tears running down my face. CANCER does indeed = SUCK. You brought me right back to my FIL's struggle.

Hearing about your solo trip with Lil'Diz - what an amazing, special time for the 2 of you to share! I just did a weekend roadtrip solo with DS5 to visit friends and we had such a wonderful time hanging out. Kudos to you!

We're surprising our little guy in exactly 2 weeks with a trip to visit the mouse (and this would be the shameless plug for people to check out my PTR! ... hope we get the same good reaction! It's gonna be early (we're probably taking the same flight out of the Cities that you did... a 7:15ish flight) so I hope he's actually functioning when he finds out. I envision him not getting it, and rolling over and falling back asleep. That ought to make a good video!

It was terribly hard to write this TR. My notes have gotten a bit dusty as I have had to muster my courage to do it.


I have been over on your ptr and will go check it out for updates! You changed your avatar. I always was trying to figure out what was on your eyes before.

So late, I am in my update. I really like to get one out every few days...but I didn't this time. I apologize now, but I have good reasons. We spent the weekend doing family stuff and those moments are precious and priceless! Today brought a playdate with a bunch of my dd's friends. Afterwards I wasn't feeling well and attempted a cat nap. Apparently I needed the rest because I slept for 3 hours!

I am working on it. Promise!

I always was trying to figure out what was on your eyes before.

That's funny! They were baseballs that were Mike from Monsters Inc that I found at the Team Mickey store in DTD last year. Couldn't resist!

i'm not exactly caught up but i must get ready for bed because i have to drive an hour to work tomorrow! i wanted to mark my place - i'm up to "the loud's", whatever that is!

your story of saying goodbye to your mom made me sit here and cry like a baby. ray looked at me like i was crazy, but i wouldn't tell him what i was reading. anyway, thank you for sharing that. you are such a strong person and i really do admire the way you have handled this whole situation.

In the mean time, I went ahead and made home made baklava, baked a batch of cookies and decorated a birthday cake.

i had to laugh out loud at this because i know how long homemade baklava takes to make!!!! too funny!
