Goal in hand was to catch the 8 AM MK bus. Wouldn’t you know she was pulling away as we rounded the corner to catch her. A minute earlier and we would have been home free. SNICKERDOODLES! At least we were first in line for the next one. The next one, which didn’t come for 20 minutes... the next one.

Oh no, why don't they send more buses in the morning?

Some poor souls took to the bait and stopped to pose with the characters that already had lines forming. Not Us though. We were smarter and moved ahead, as fast as we possibly could.

We never stop there either, less queues for us though

Wouldn’t you know it…We were lucky enough to make it on the first loading! Yippee!

Fantastic

We finished Fantasy Land in a little over a half hour and headed over to and rode the Tea Cups and still made it to the opening of Toon Town, and rode right behind Goofy on the Barnstormer for the first ride.

It's great to get it all done so quick isn't it! I always feel sorry for the poor kids who stand in 60 min lines

We had a nice and QUIET day! After we dropped him off we headed to her new school for a meet and greet with her teachers. She seriously didn't want to leave! When the teacher came to the door, TINK literally ran into her arms and hugged her.

Maybe we take the whole Disney thing way too lazy. We have only been to Opening 1 time, 2004 our first family trip. It was magical, and we always mean to catch another one.. but as the kids get older... it gets harder to get them up. ( uh gets harder for me too )

For Getting to walk right in to Mickey.. and he being so patient to listen.

It so magical to be at Disney when our babies are young.. when it TRULY IS REAL.

The whole No sugar cereal rule was left at the gates. It was time to get energized!

When we reached our breaking point he let the doors shut, stepped as hard as he could on the gas and watched in the rear view mirror, as the long line of standing passengers swayed backwards.

why do they always do that??? is it just at the values or is the bussing the same everywhere???

and noted NOT to repeat it loudly. We didn’t want any stragglers on our tails.

Our morning was working out perfectly! We literally went on and off rides and waited no more than 2-3 minutes to load each.

sweet!!!

I am LOVING your trip report. This is one of very few trippies that I sat here and read the WHOLE thing. So sweet! I'm still in college, but I can't wait to do all the surprises for when I have kids!

What has kept me busy over the last few weeks.



It began with a mini family trip to the great north of Minnesota. Where we sat by the lake each morning, listening to the call of the Loons.

We enjoyed swimming, canoeing, Kayaking, biking and shopping.

At night we sat by the fire and roasted ourselves and a few marshmellows. (not sure what is going on with this uploading pic).

We visited Lake Itaska and Headwaters of the Mighty Mississippi.

And the it was back to school. 1st grade for one and a few days later the 1st year of preschool for the other.

Which has brought me to chauffeuring children around all day, play dates, dance class, Ice Skating lessons, volunteering in classrooms, Meetings for Parent Councils and even a few evenings of scrapbooking.

Am I already exhausted?


YOU BETCHA!

Minnesota lakes are wonderful - calm, peaceful, everything that we all could use from time to time.
