We are going to stay off site this trip (HGVC SW) and want to know what nice family restaurants there are to go to. We won't be doing anything at Disney this time.

I don't minds chains. We liked Olive Garden when we went last time, but I don't think most American's would necessarily recommend it.

Please let me know (with a Canadian perspective) what fun American restaurants you enjoyed.

I already have Bahama Breeze on my list!

We're big fans of Giordano's on US192 a couple of miles east of World Drive. GREAT pizzas and very good pasta. Huge portion sizes. We made the mistake of ordering appetizers our first time and ended up only able to eat half our meal. Of course, that meant that we had dinner in our fridge for a later night.

The Cracker Barrel was great for breakfast =)
We really loved it there.

We started doing some off-site meals because dd and dh don't love Disney's food....they find it blah.

We love the Olive Garden! We enjoyed Sweet Tomatoes near Univeral Studios and really like Shoneys and Sizzler. Cheap and the food is fine. S

We liked Chevy's at Crossroads for Tex-Mex... they give an ice-cream cone to the kids when you leave. There's a Steak N Shake which is a fifties-type diner with basic, cheap fair. CiCi's is cheap pizza eats. I'm going with what the kids liked - not gourmet food ;)

I always like Red Robin when I go to the States. Never been to one in Orlando so I don't know where/or if they have one.

:cool1: We love the Cheesecake Factory and a little semi-fast food joint called Chipotle. I haven't actually been to either in Florida, but have been elsewhere in the US and love them both!

A fast food place that sells Corona is excellent in my books!
