If you don't mind a road trip to the beach... here's two favorites.

Bettys A1A Cafe in Ormond Beach. Place is always packed and deservingly so. Great food... Ahi Tuna dish is incredible. Great prices.

PJs in New Smyrna Beach - Shark Bite Capital of the World. Very good seafood and you wouldn't think it to look at it. Great prices. Love the fish basket with Fried Grouper, fries and slaw.

wow, doesn't look like you(or any of us) will go hungry while on vac at wdw!!

We never do when in WDW! :mickeybar

LOLOLOLOL!!! Yep! That's what I get for typing without expanding the frame on my iPad! Big Effin Seafood Kitchen! :rotfl2:

Yes, Big FIN! We're headed there this week! Leaving tomorrow for Orlando!:cheer2:

Have a great time! I expect a full review when you get back! :wave2:

Don't know if we will be headed out that far this trip, but I put these in the future option file. Thank you! :)

We have been told that this is a great place to go, may try it later this month ourselves.

Check out Golden Corral on international drive its not to far from Disney, when we were at Disney 3 years ago we went most days for Breakfast as it was like $5.99 with your drinks (Coffee, Milk, OJ ) included

Its the best value and selection in the area

Bahama Breeze has an excellent selection of seafood in a tropical atmosphere. We love it!

I will check this out too, thank you! If you do go, please let me know if you enjoyed it. :)

Sounds like a decent deal. To be honest, we have never been to Golden Corral because we are not typically fans of buffets (Disney excluded ;) ); however, it may be a possibility for breakfast. So thanks for the info, certainly an affordable option for breakfast to consider! :thumbsup2

We love Bahama Breeze for exactly those reasons! They do have good food; however we have a Bahama Breeze near our home that we frequently visit, so we will probably choose something different for that reason only. But I do appreciate your suggestion, I especially love the Bahamaritas there; :goodvibes, so who knows, we could consider this as back up plan! :thumbsup2

how are the golden corals lately? many years ago we loved them. every trip we couldn't wait to go. but maybe the last 6 or 7 years, we found them dirty, not well maintained and not too good. i was very disappointed. last time we went was about 3 years ago in florida. we have a few near us in NJ, they are hit and miss. hope florida ones turned back around to being good again.

Sweet Tomatoes (salad bar/soup bar/some pizza/buffet style) - 2 locations: one is in Crossroads Plaza at the end of Hotel Plaza Blvd (near Downtown Disney) and the other on 192 west of I-4, in the Target center, probably a couple of miles from the Disney intersection on I-4.

This has become one of our family traditions - We LOVE Sweet Tomatoes - It sounds *light* (and can be) but is also very filling. Awesome HUGE salad bar , baked potato bar (sweet and white) with tons of toppings, pizza, pasta, soups, breads, muffins, and dessert bar. Be sure to register on the website and you will get some great coupons. Our family of 4 had a fabulous dinner there for $20 (drinks included). LOVE it. :thumbsup2

I would like to know this too. I have heard mixed review for the locations around where we live as well. Probably why we never ventured in; however if there are good review for them, especially at a particular location, we might give it a try for breakfast. Any reviews on the location nearest to Disney would be appreciated. :listen:

We are seriously considering this. There are so many good reviews of this place, we have it on our possible list too. I will go sign up on the website now, thanks!:surfweb:

OK! Here is our list so far:

While at Disney: (4 nights)
Wolfgang Puck Cafe
Jiko
California Grill (If they ever open up the ADRs):bitelip:
Flying Fish
Boma (Breakfast)
Crystal Palace (Breakfast)

While at Universal: (4 nights)
Bubba Gumps
Mythos
Three Broomsticks
Margaritaville

Off Property near Disney (6 nights)
Millers Ale House
Roy's Hawaiian

I really appreciate everyone's recommendations. Please keep them coming. Also, I do appreciate any feedback on our selections. Especially those at Universal and off property, since we are less familiar with those. We are pretty set with our Disney selections, as they are some of our favorites.

We still have a few lunches/breakfasts or brunches to plan too. We were thinking Earl of Sandwich and WGP Express possibly, only because we know they good. So I love checking out all these new options! :surfweb:

Well we have added a few to our "OFF PROPERTY" list for breakfast and some "maybe lunches or light dinner options"

Keke's Breakfast Cafe
First Watch
WGP Express
Earl of Sandwich

Still need a couple dinner options and I think we will be done. So glad this is one of the last "to dos" on my list....besides packing that is! :cool1:

I would cross Millers Ale House off the list. We have 2 close to our house and we've gone 2x but never again. Their mechhh. Bad chain food. Why not check out a cool not chain food place you could eat anywhere. If I may suggest-- Oblivion Taproom. www.obliviontaproom.com. They have awesome food, funky interior and super cool theme nights. An upcoming night is a tribute to Harry Potter - you get sorted into houses, costume contest, wand maker from Knockturn Alley. Another theme night is video game night with vintage video games. Etc.. Food is great, craft beers & ciders , reasonable . Try something unique and not on every corner. What ever you decide have fun

We've always mean't to try here. Where is it by DTD?? Is it straight across the street from the entrance near the McDonalds?? Also , is it the same food/price all day or is dinner different?? Thx

We like Texas de Brazil (A Brazilian steakhouse on I drive past Universal.) and Giordano's (Chicago stuffed pizza-There are two locations.):)

Yelp and Trip Advisor are good resources

Thanks for the feedback and recommendation. I feel the same way about eating at most chains while we are on vacation. We love trying new and unique places whenever possible. We do not have any Miller's Ale House near us, so we would never have an opportunity to try it unless when we were traveling. :)

I use and contribute to Trip Advisor regularly: http://www.tripadvisor.com/members-reviews/Mickeymotto

I agree with you and I don't know if I would try a place if I didn't check it our on TA or Yelp first! :surfweb:

Also regarding Oblivion Taproom; sounds like a cool place! I'm going to check it out now! :cool1:

when researching on TA, it looks like it is says "Crossroads" right nearby the Orlando Premium Outlets closest to DTD: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaura...1-Reviews-Sweet_Tomatoes-Orlando_Florida.html

As far as prices, I would like to know that too.

I am not sure of which locations we have been to - We went to 2 different ones. The easiest one to get to is near AKL - If you take a left at the set of lights right before AKL and follow that road it, will take you out to a main street. If you take a right and follow it down a short way, Sweet Tomatoes is on your left near the Super Target.
The prices definitely vary. Not sure if it matters time of day but the day of the week does. When we went during the week and used the coupon it was super affordable. We went back on a weekend and it was much more. Here is the link to their website.
