Hello,

Our family of 4 will be heading back to Disney in March 2021 (gotta plan early 😁)

We have stayed on site the last time we went and off site the first time with my parents. (Over 11 years ago)

As our kids will be 21 and 17 this time, I don’t think a Value resort would work for us for the week.

As I have never booked off site myself, does anyone have a good place to recommend or a company they trust to rent from?

working with a tight budget so renting DVC points are not an option and neither is any moderate on site hotel.

thanks in advance for any advice anyone has.

When it's just my family (4 of us) we check AirBNB and VRBO, both are reputable. VRBO seems to charge much higher service/cleaning fees, but the properties tend to be a little nicer. For our next large group trip (where we need more than 3 bedrooms) we are going directly to the Windsor Hills website.

For travelling with teenagers, nothing beats the many great timeshare resorts in the area. There are many paths to renting these. Some of the largest and most popular are available through Air Canada Vacations or Costco if you want to go the Travel Agent route. If you are a DIY type, look to SkyAuction for discount stays (but bids won't go out to 2021 for quite some time yet, and March break on WDW's 50th anniversary may not have any discounts). Redweek.com is a good source for general rentals, or go directly to the owners at tug2.net (Timeshare Users Group).

We own at Sheraton Vistana Resort (bought resale after our first trip with ACV to sister property Sheraton Vistana Villages). It is great for teens because they have their own bedroom and bathroom. There is a full kitchen for keeping the hungry teen fed at all hours. At SVR there are 7 pools, a couple that are very popular with the teen set for "see and be seen" while the adults enjoy a quieter pool. Lots of activity - pick up games of hoops, 13 tennis courts, or beach volleyball on the sand court for the sporting type. Drive time to the Disney parks is 10-15 minutes, and not much more to Universal and SeaWorld. Marriott, Hilton and Wyndham all operate resorts with similar amenities in the immediate Disney area. Plan to spend about $1-1.5k for a week in a 2BR villa.

we have stayed at Windsor Hills a couple of times. It's a gated community close to Disney, also walmart close by and restaurants, etc. We loved it. There are different types of units you can rent: condos, townhouses and houses. I believe you can find some on vbro and you can also check out windsorhillsrent.com

We've rented at Wyndham Bonnet Creek through Vacation Strategy. WBC is almost on property, inside the disney gates beside Carribbean Beach Resort. It's close in case your kids want to split up from you and take an uber back, or take the bus to Carribbean Beach and have you pick them up from there. Lots to do around the resort.

We use Homeaway (same as VRBO) all the time to rent condos/homes and have done so many times in the Orlando area. Windsor Hills area is really popular but it's cheaper if you go just a few minutes further away. We have rented 3 bedroom condos with a private hot tub several times for around $100 USD per night in a few different communities in the area. The communities also had a great pool area that you could quickly walk to and usually a bar/restaurant in the complex as well.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I have booked a 3 bedroom and now just need to be patient until we go 😁 lots of planning time I guess .
