Off site hotels for Christmas

Hello!

Toying with the idea of going to Disneyland for the first time early December 2020. We’ve been to WDW a few times at this time and loved it!
I’m wondering if there are any off property hotels that are both nearby and go all out for Christmas.
I’m basically Buddy The Elf when it comes to Christmas, so I would really love something that was really decked out.
Any input is appreciated!

The Sheraton has a Christmas tree and decorations in the lobby, but I wouldn't describe it as "decked out." You might give the CCI a call to see how extensive their decorations are every year. Also, you can bring some of your own safe decorations to jazz up your room. We've had posts from people who've brought/shipped decorations and gifts to their hotel rooms -- things like a small artificial tree with basic decorations and lights, some basic garlands, a wreath, things to tape up on the refrigerator if they had a suite, etc. -- nothing that would be considered unsafe or too hard to clean up when leaving.

The Hilton is nicely decorated for CHristmas. I don't think any of the motels on Harbor do much more than a tree in the lobby. That said, we are also Buddy the Elf types, and we bring our tree, lights, decorations, etc... Our room gets fully decked out. Housekeeping, bellstaff, and others always comment how much fun we have. Make sure you visit the lobbies of the DLH and the GCH.

I second the Hilton. They usually have about 20 trees in the lobby, each with a different theme that are done as a fundraiser. The trees get auctioned off so they are very nice and decorated to the max. Last year we saw Disney, Star Wars, Toyland, and Under the Sea as some of the tree themes. I can't remember them all, but they're all beautiful.

I read on Trip Advisor that Anaheim Marriott also has an elaborate Christmas theme in their lobby including Santa meet and greets and a gingerbread house. We’re staying there for our December trip so we’ll see how true that is!

I honestly didn't notice. They were having a large convention there and the lobby was pretty busy all the times we went through so it was loud. The pictures are from early in the morning and I was not awake yet.

We stayed there last week. Lots of decorations in common areas, Christmas music playing, Christmas smells. Was nice. They did a great job.
