Off site hotel night before check-in

If you dont want a reservation cause youre not sure, but you make it, we always stayed on International Drive. The side by Race Rock.

When we drive (about 13 hours) we leave early in the AM and usually stop in Gainesville. It is about 2 hours to Disney from there. We get to sleep in, have free breakfast, and get to Disney in the morning well rested and ready to hit the parks. A lot of the times our room is ready when we arrive. This year though, due to a layoff and job change for me, we are having to leave after I get off work so we are going to stop in Tallahassee. It will be a longer drive next morning, but I don't like to drive too late into the night. It's too hard the next day. This works for us. Cheers!!!!

Id book a value. Or one of the Disney Springs hotels. Look on Mousesavers.com. They frequently have discounts for some of these hotels, and no parking or resort fee special prices. There is also a Marriott Village not too far away from WDW and Disney Springs area. In the same general area Palm Parkway has a bunch of decent hotels. We stayed at The Marriott Courtyard, and I think there's a Hampton and Embasy Suites on that road too.

The Embassy Suites in the Palm Parkway area charges a resort fee. Not sure if they charge for parking, as I don't stay at hotels that have resort fees. In addition to the Hampton, there's also a Homewood Suites and a Hilton Garden Inn on Palm Parkway, and none of those have resort or parking fees. HGI doesn't have free breakfast, but the other two do.

We are driving from New Jersey and our plan is to leave at 3am- we have 4 drivers. Our big traffic trouble is around DC and then through Richmond. Two summer ago, we did this and it was smooth sailing! Plan on driving straight through to Orlando. Thank you summerlvr for the advice on the Hampton on Palm Parkway. We check in to the GF the next morning but not planning a park day- need a day to recover!

We drive 11 hours from Mississippi. When the value resorts are reasonable we stay there, but sometimes (busier season) we do not want to spend that much because we do not have a ticket to the parks that day and we are tired and want to rest for the next day. The Clarion on Palm Parkway is about 5 minutes from the DW gates (off of Vineland drive) and we have found it on Priceline for as low as 60 dollars. Its clean , near a lot of places to eat and super close to DW. And no parking or resort fee's

If you drive all the way to Lake Buena Vista, there is the Wyndham Bonnet Creek, very nice villas, right in the middke of WDW.
