Off site guest FP+

We are thinking of making a trip and staying offsite for this one.

How does FP+ work for offsite?

I just buy it online and link the number to MDE and make my FP reservations?

Am I correct it is 30 days in advance for offsite guests? Is that 30 days for each day of my visit or is it 30 days from the start of my visit
eg: if we arrive June 6th we can book starting June 6th for 14 days(length of time on each park hopper from first day of use)
