Off site Disneyland merchandise

We're getting ready to go to Disneyland for the first time. I know if you go to Walmart in Orlando you can buy t-shirts and hoodies that say Walt Disney world on them. They usually cost half what they do in the parks...sometimes less than half. Do department stores in Anaheim sell Disneyland merchandise?

When we were there in November we made a trip to the nearby Target and they had a decent selection of t shirts and such. You might check them out. I have also read about a Disney clearance store nearby but have never been. Maybe someone else can pipe in on that.

I remember a thread on here where people said the Disney clearance was pretty awful. If you are taking any time to go to San Diego, someone on the same thread recommended Las Americas Outlets has a Disney outlet.

You may be able to buy merchandise that says Disney at Walmart but I doubt very much that you bought "Disney World" merchandise there. There is a Character Warehouse (similar to the one in Orlando) in Fullerton that has official Disney park merchandise, usually last years' stuff. I've gotten some deals there but it is very hit-and-miss like most outlets.

The Character Warehouse in Fullerton is no longer affiliated with Disney, or something like that. They stopped carrying much of the Disney merchandise they had been selling before. So we've found it really isn't worth going out of our way to stop there unless we are in the area anyway.

We went to the dollar store next to the Target and let the kids buy all sorts of little Disney things when we were there in 2010.

If you look on the Disney store website there are lots of DL and WDW shirts. Make sure you are looking at the parks merchandise. I purchase shirts for my family and pack them in my suitcase. They aren't as cheap at the Walmart shirts but, they say DL on them, are good quality and they are cheaper than in the parks. Right now they have take an extra 20% off if you buy two or more.
