I LOVE that you are creating your own Dining Plan!:thumbsup2

I strongly suggest you eat at Bahama Breeze. It is sooo delicious.

I used to live in Queens, NY, where the original Pio Pio restaurant was. The chicken is unbelievalby good. Since DH and I moved to FL, we have not had the chance to check out the FL location but I am sure it is just as good.

If you are looking for good Chinese, I can recommend a placed called Taste of Asia. It's on Turkey Lake Rd over by the Walmart. The food is really good. DH was on :cloud9: when we first ate there. And the atmosphere for dining in is really nice.

Thanks for all the great info. We will have a car when we go to Disney later this month and we are going to eat outside the world some of the time. With this list here, we will not starve.:thumbsup2

WOW -- you are great. I'm been developing my own and printing menus because we are planning a non-Disney Orlando vacation in September for a week. Thank you so much for your lists!

Thank you so much for putting this information together. DH & I are going in October and prefer to eat off property - it's great to have a list of places to check out.

Highly recommended to go offsite, the food is so much better. Check your maps, Orlando / Kissimmee are HUGE but just a matter of shooting up and down I-4 mostly.

Some of the places in Point Orlando are excellent and it is not too far. Everyone should enjoy the cuban place and the steakhouse in there. I like the crepe place if you're into crepes.

And yes the Chinese place posted above is divine, and if you go to Pio Pio the green sauce is an addiction. Back in NY I used to get a pint of it to go and use it instead of mayo on sandwiches, as a dip, a dressing, drink it straight.

Also, urbanspoon has more ratings and may help you with your decision making. You can search by neighborhoods, I suggest searching the following areas:

Dr. Phillips
International Drive
Colonial
Winter Park
Mall at Millenia
Kissimmee
Celebration

Which are all within 30 minutes / miles of the WDW resorts.

Thanks for the great list. I recognize several of the places from restaurants.com. I'm looking forward to getting some great meals at great savings, too!

Thank you all for your comments!! :)

I started this list as we are going for two weeks in October, staying off site and wanted to supplement our F&W events. I also purchased the Orlando Entertainment Book, at a good price - but I do want to at least break even with discounts.

If anyone has anymore suggestions, I'll try keep this updated!

Someone here on the Dis recommended Cafe Tu Tu Tango when we went to WDW last year and it was delicious!

Their whole menu is small plates/tapas, so you can try lots of different things and the sangria is to die for! :thumbsup2

I'm subbing this thread so I can get new ideas for my October trip popcorn::

I have been raving about this place for years. It is wonderful! Great atmosphere, fantastic food, and yes, the sangria is awesome...:)

Wondering whether folks have anything new to offer? (I couldn't find any recent posts on offsite dining...)
