I have seen numerous threads about WDW sushi with much debate. I'm sure there are also some strong opinions about off property sushi loacations.

Where is the BEST sushi in Orlando? Can't wait to see all of your suggestions!

I have heard really good things about the Beni Hana in the Hilton across the street from Downtown Disney. I have eaten at the one in Las Colinas, TX and it was wonderful.

I am a frequent sushi eater, and we tried Tokyo Dining on faith. LOVED IT! Very fresh.

I did a LOT of research on this last year..... It was my very quick trip with DS to take him to US/IOA to see Blue Man Group...

ONE DAY at ORLANDO... and he LOVES Sushi....we drove in Memorial Day...and I had researched the BEST Sushi in Orlando....to surprise him...

I use tripadvisor.com quite a bit... (BatonRougeFamily) so I planned to take him to the #1 Sushi restaurant in Orlando....

I looked this up and I believe this was:
Hanamizuki Japanese Restaurant
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaura...uki_Japanese_Restaurant-Orlando_Florida.html#

which...I am seeing that tripadvisor is saying is Closed now!?!?!?!? (Maybe not accurate)

WHen checked in and ready for dinner I called and realized that restaurant was closed EVERY MONDAY... even though a holiday MOnday...would not be open....SO MUCH for the "Best Laid Plans..."

SO we drove down International BLVD and ended up at: Ming Court....

Here is my review at www.tripadvisor.com:

Not bad at all... but I would encourage you to check tripadvisor.com to see what they rate as the best sushi restaurants...

Hugs,
Mary

PS:: TRYING to fit KIMONO's (SWAN) into our May PLans!

We found Bento on restaurant.com and they were very good. There are 2 locations...I think one is downton orlando and the other is near universal.

We liked the sushi place in Celebration. Can't remember the name, but there's only one sushi place in the town, not far from the movie theatre. Started with a "K"

I remember dining at this place twice:

Also, we've had a few trips to a Kobe place in Kissimmee - forget exactly where, but my DH and I went there 3 years in a row, and had the same sushi chef each time (and he remembered us, but we're unique outside of Hawaii, I'm a blond German/Irish and DH is tall Marine Corps Korean).

We do like Kimono's as well, at the Swan. I always have to take DS there! When staying at the Swan or Dolphin, I always do carry out from there (and it's easy to spend $80 on just me and the kids, ugh).
