Hello, DISers!!! I am in need of some help! We are going to WDW in December with our daugher who will be 22mths old at the time we go. We just got back from a trip visitng the in-laws and have come to the conclusion that we need a hotel that has a private bedroom (meaning a door). She will not fall asleep if she can see us.

I have found the DoubleTree at DTD that we are interested in because they said they have a door that closes, so when we put her to bed. Once she is asleep, she will sleep thru anything. :-)

I am wondering if any of you WDW experts know of any other hotel that would offer the layout we are looking for that is close to WDW and reasonably priced? I greatly appreciate any help or advice. Thank you soo much!

Check out the "we looooooove bonnet creek" thread for information about Wyndham Bonnet Creek

We're doing Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista this summer. It's about 2 miles from Downtown Disney. It's pretty well-priced most of the time, especially considering the included breakfast and the manager's reception (happy hour).

I highly recommend Buena Vista Suites. We have stayed here a few times and we love it. The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly. The 1 bedroom suites have a seperate bedroom (with a door that closes), the bedroom has 2 queen size beds and flat screen TV. The livingroom area also has a flat screen TV, couch (sleeper sofa), chair, coffee table, desk&chair, small "wet bar" area that has a sink, microwave, and small fridge. The price is around $99 per night (but sometimes they have specials-check out mousesavers.com, they usually list any specials for Buena Vista Suites).
The price also includes a free hot breakfast buffet with: eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, waffles, hot & cold cereal, potatoes, create your own omlete area, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, milk and juice.

I was going to suggest the Embassy Suites too. Nice places.

Be sure to look at Staybridge Suimtes - Lake Buena Vista as they have on eof the best breakfast buffets and a perfect location less than 1 mile from DTD.

A little further down - on Palm Parkway/Turkey Lake Road is the Homewood Suites - a nearly new hotel about 1.5 miles from DTD & another very nice, 100% suite hotel. Either one of those should be a great stay.

Check out Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa. Its about 2 miles from Downtown Disney and close to a lot of restaurants and shops. All of the rooms are suites so they have separate bedrooms. Cheap too!
