DD's dance team is doing a Disney workshop this summer so I booked a one-bedroom as soon as my booking window opened up at our home resort (AKL) then switched to Boardwalk thinking that DS (17) would enjoy it more. Unfortunately last summer we did our first WDW trip in the summer months and DS really hated the heat and the crowds so he told us repeatedly that he did not want to go with us. I put him on the reservation anyway and picked out a Magic band for him. I made all the dining reservations for three people (figuring that going from three to two would be easier than the other way around -- DD will be staying with her dance team, we'll only see her when she's actually on stage at Downtown Disney). I asked DS repeatedly if he was sure that he did not want to go -- every time he told me he was sure and said I should stop asking him. I bought all our tickets for WDW and Universal and added them to the Magic bands for DD, DH and myself and made all our fastpass reservations.

Two days ago I decided to go ahead and change the dining reservations to two people so I wouldn't forget to do it later. Today our Magic Bands arrived and of course, DS now thinks he wants to go after all. Tomorrow I'm going to try and change our dining reservations back to three people and order another park ticket. Then I'll have to figure out the fastpasses again (I hope we can keep our times and just add DS, but with the 7 dwarfs mine train, we may be out of luck). I should have just assumed he would decide to go after all. Thank goodness a one-bedroom has a sleeper sofa so at least the sleeping arrangements won't have to change!

He deserves ample punishment. Make him ride Small World 40 times in a row.

If you reserve for 3 and show up with 2 there's no penalty.

Vice versa. I always book for 5, and grandma decides if she wants to go or not a few hours before. Last time she decided 2 days before. I went to the resort concierge desk, they said there's no need to change it to 4 and we wouldn't get charged.

I always wondered about that. We usually travel with a group of 5-9 and some of our friends don't like to plan ahead.:hippie:
Esp when planning 180 plus 10 days out. We always have the same issue, I've had many times when we didn't know till the night before or day off who was or not going. Plays heck with the DP as well, hopefully they'll eventually remove the catch 22 but it could be the careful what you wish for issue.

I wasn't sure if I'd get charged or not, but more importantly, since one of our dining reservations was for Be Our Guest, I was trying to be considerate. Two people dining can fit on a two-top, three people need a four-top. I figured that if they could fit DH and me at a smaller table, another family might be able to get in.

Fortunately, I was able to convert our reservations for two back to reservations for three and his ticket has been ordered. Has anyone else ordered from Undercover Tourist then tried to get the ticket number to link it to a Magic Band? I'd like to get his ticket linked asap so that I can try and set up Fastpasses for him that match up with the ones I have for myself and DH.

I linked UCT passes to my MDE account for my sister's family this past April. It was easy and went just fine. I didn't make FP+ selections until after their tickets were linked, even though I could have made them for my DH & I earlier sicne we had APs. Even though I waited until almost the last minute, we were able to get everything I wanted.

Anyway, my understanding is that you will be able to copy your FP+ selections to your "late decider", assuming there is still availability. No idea how to do that, though. Good luck!

Well, I ordered the remaining ticket last week and it arrived today! I was able to link the ticket and copy our Fastpass+ times to DS's band so now we're all set. Undercover Tourist worked so fast I was amazed. I've never had a problem with ordering from them but it was less than a week from ordering to when the ticket arrived.
