Well we made it and are currently at the beach club. We had a bit of a long check in as we'd been downgraded from our booked garden view to a standard view so we could have connecting rooms with my parents. Now we're close, but not that close so I requested a move to the garden view room we'd booked. We got one on the second floor, close to the lobby and my parents are just round the corner.

So far we've eaten a liberty inn and sunshine seasons, both of which were fine. Had a good day at Epcot today and are heading for dinner at tutto Italia in 2 hours, can't wait.

Subbing - and going back to read your previous dining reviews. How did I miss those?? You sound as excited to come to the US as I am when I go to London!

Hope you have a great trip!

Thank you. It was fantastic, so sad it's over now.

Looks great. I'm joining in too.

Thank you. I get crazy excited for our Disney holidays, we always have so much fun.

Have a great trip! :)

Thank you.

Well we're back unfortunately. We arrived home this afternoon, after our fantastic trip.

The beach club was lovely, and we had some amazing meals. My parents were blown away by both the food Disney offers, and just the place in general. They really enjoyed their trip, and now understand why I love it so much.

I've got tons of food photos to share, so should be able to start my report tomorrow. I'll update the index as well, to reflect the cs meals we enjoyed.

Subbing, your plans sound delsih! I'm so glad your parents had a great trip, can't wait for the reviews to start :goodvibes

Yay that you're back, and it's so good to hear your parents saw the appeal of WDW! :goodvibes One of the worst feelings I've ever felt was after I went to WDW with a friend and his family - they all felt indifferent about the place, which made me pretty sad.

I would have been really disappointed if they'd felt that way. My mum thought disney was all about rides, and she's definitely not into thrill rides so wasn't sure it would be for her. She now sees that it's so much more than just a typical theme park, and it was interesting for me to see it from their perspective.

My parents are really into gardening so were constantly looking at the plants and trees in the theme parks, we're on our sixth trip and they were pointing out bits of landscaping we'd never taken the time to look at before!

I am really looking forward to your reviews!

Thank you. First review coming up now.

We flew from Manchester this time so there was no clubhouse for us to use beforehand. The plane was just about on time and food came about an hour into the flight.

I had the Somerset Cider and Onion soup to start which was tasty.

DH had the salmon.
IMG_1902_zps62ef2068.jpg

I had the chicken main course, which I really liked. The chicken was a little dry but the Gnocchi was tasty and the mushroom sauce had a nice flavour to it, I could a done with more sauce though.

DH had the gnocchi, which I think he liked (he ate it all anyway!).
IMG_1906_zps7c985b9b.jpg

We then both had the chocolate pudding with salted caramel sauce. Yum, this was pretty good.
IMG_1907_zps9c309bb0.jpg

The cheese trolley was brought round, I passed but DH had a selection with a glass of port.
IMG_1908_zps7b7bcc3a.jpg

At some point he sampled the Vegetarian Sushi from the graze menu which he said was tasty.
IMG_1909_zps4ba75087.jpg

Not long before landing we were served afternoon tea. This was sandwiches scones with clotted cream/jam and a choice of cakes, it was all very nice.

We checked in at the Beach Club around 5pm. There was a bit of a mix up with our room, so check in took a while. By the time we'd showered and unpacked we were all very tired and just wanted to grab something quick.

We were still adjusting to the heat so also wanted somewhere with air con, so chose Liberty Inn. We'd never eaten here before but there was plenty of indoor seating, and no lines to order. I seemed to spend about five minutes explaining the DDP to my parents but they eventually got it and we all ordered.

I had the chilli cheese hotdog. This was hot and tasty but very messy to eat. The chilli was tasty but not spicy at all, and the bun was a wheat bun but was still soft and not crumbly.

DH had the bean burger, he said this was a little spicy but good.

My parents had the Chicken flatbread and burger, both of which i failed to get a picture of. They both enjoyed them, although my mum thought the flatbread was way too big, and couldn't finish it. This was a running theme for the holiday and even by our last day my mum still couldn't believe some of the portion sizes.

Dh and my mum had apple pie for dessert. The pastry was buttery and it contained plenty of soft apple filling.

My dad didn't want dessert so he got a rice crispy treat which came packaged, so we brought it back and ate it as a snack later in the trip (you can see it in the background of the above pic)

I chose the smores Brownie which was good. It had a hard cookie bottom, chocolate brownie then runny marshmallow in the middle.

Overall this was a quiet cs restaurant, pretty standard menu but all food was hot and delivered quickly. I'd intended to watch illuminations after dinner but everyone was tired so we headed back to the Beach Club instead, ready for an early start tomorrow morning.

We went to beach club marketplace today for breakfast. We were there around 8 and it wasn't too busy. I got a yogurt parfait which was nice, plenty of ripe fruit and sweet granola, contrasting with the tart natural yogurt. Dh got a coffee cake which he enjoyed. I forgot to take pictures so I'll include two from last year.

After spending the morning in Epcot, we decided to have lunch at sunshine seasons. It was just after 12 so it was crowded, but we still didn't have to wait long to be served. i I had the Turkey sandwich. The bread was fresh although a bit crusty on top, filled with tangy mayo loads of turkey and a slice of cheese. It was served with potato salad, which I really liked, soft potatoes in a sharp vinegar style dressing.

DH had the sustainable fish served with spicy green beans and wedges. He enjoyed this and said it was good quality for a cs meal. His only complaint was it had gone a little cold by the time he'd paid and made it to the table.

For dessert I chose the Carrot cake cupcake, this was a very moist cake topped with a light cream cheese frosting. The frosting was my favourite part so I would have liked some inside as well.

My mum had Cheesecake which she said was good, it was served with optional mixed berries on top which cut through the sweetness.

My dad isn't really into sweets so chose the yogurt panna cotta, topped with granola, he ate it so it must have been ok. DH had tiramisu. This wasn't his favourite interpretation of this dessert, he said it had too much marscapone flavour, and not enough coffee. He didn't lose out though as my cupcake was massive I let him share it.

I'd definitely eat here again as it has such a wide range of options, and fantastic desserts, although due to it’s proximity to Soarin it can seem very busy and crowded during peak hours.

Our first table service meal was at Tutto Italia. We hadn’t visited Tutto for a couple of years but had good memories of previous meals there. We checked in 15 mins early and were seated immediately. The place seemed around 3/4 full, which was surprising as Epcot was incredibly quiet tonight, after dinner we got a prime viewing spot for illuminations 10 mins in advance.

We were greeted reasonably quickly, and our waiter was friendly and efficient. We weren't hungry enough for appetisers but i did get a sangria to drink. This was very nice, fruity but still plenty of red wine taste, (sorry i forgot the pic until i was part way through!).

We were then served a bread basket, which consisted of breadsticks, focaccia, and olive oil for dipping. My dad loves bread so was in his element with this.

I chose the Gnocchieti - the cavatelli pasta was perfectly cooked el dente, topped with plenty of sausage, a mildly spiced tomato based sauce and a sprinkling of pecorino cheese. really enjoyed this dish, portion wasn't massive but couldn't manage it all.

DH chose the seafood risotto, served with shrimp, squid, clams and mussels, in a light tomato sauce. He thought this was ok, there were plenty of clams and squid, but only a couple of shrimp. The tomato sauce was surprisingly spicy, and the squid was slightly overcooked.

My mum had the Fettuccine served with pancetta and parmesan cream sauce. This was very rich and creamy, and contained lots of pancetta. She enjoyed it but it was too rich to finish.

My dad had Spaghetti and meatballs, which he enjoyed.

For dessert I chose the Hazelnut polenta cake. This was enjoyable, and quite unique. The cake itself was quite dense and had a dry, heavy texture, the sides of the cake had been coated in dark chocolate. The creamy nutella topping had a strong nutella flavour, and complemented the cake. It could have done with more of the creamy topping really, it’s not my favourite dessert but I liked it.

DH got Tiramisu which he really enjoyed, saying it was much better than Sunshine Seasons version.

My mum wanted something light so tried the pistachio Panna cotta. She had no complaints about this, but I didn’t have a taste to give a better description.

Overall I think Tutto remains a very good 1 credit TS restaurant, we weren’t rushed but service was efficient, food was good, and we had an enjoyable, relaxed meal. After dinner my parents got to see Illuminations for the first time which my mum loved, and was a great way to finish off our first day at Disney.

Great start to your reviews! And I'm happy to see pics of a rarely-reviewed item - the s'mores brownie at Liberty Inn. That place hasn't especially interested me before, but your dessert looks like it could be worth the stop. :thumbsup2
