Our first table service meal was at Tutto Italia. We hadnt visited Tutto for a couple of years but had good memories of previous meals there. We checked in 15 mins early and were seated immediately. The place seemed around 3/4 full, which was surprising as Epcot was incredibly quiet tonight, after dinner we got a prime viewing spot for illuminations 10 mins in advance.
We were greeted reasonably quickly, and our waiter was friendly and efficient. We weren't hungry enough for appetisers but i did get a sangria to drink. This was very nice, fruity but still plenty of red wine taste, (sorry i forgot the pic until i was part way through!).
We were then served a bread basket, which consisted of breadsticks, focaccia, and olive oil for dipping. My dad loves bread so was in his element with this.
I chose the Gnocchieti - the cavatelli pasta was perfectly cooked el dente, topped with plenty of sausage, a mildly spiced tomato based sauce and a sprinkling of pecorino cheese. really enjoyed this dish, portion wasn't massive but couldn't manage it all.
DH chose the seafood risotto, served with shrimp, squid, clams and mussels, in a light tomato sauce. He thought this was ok, there were plenty of clams and squid, but only a couple of shrimp. The tomato sauce was surprisingly spicy, and the squid was slightly overcooked.
My mum had the Fettuccine served with pancetta and parmesan cream sauce. This was very rich and creamy, and contained lots of pancetta. She enjoyed it but it was too rich to finish.
My dad had Spaghetti and meatballs, which he enjoyed.
For dessert I chose the Hazelnut polenta cake. This was enjoyable, and quite unique. The cake itself was quite dense and had a dry, heavy texture, the sides of the cake had been coated in dark chocolate. The creamy nutella topping had a strong nutella flavour, and complemented the cake. It could have done with more of the creamy topping really, its not my favourite dessert but I liked it.
DH got Tiramisu which he really enjoyed, saying it was much better than Sunshine Seasons version.
My mum wanted something light so tried the pistachio Panna cotta. She had no complaints about this, but I didnt have a taste to give a better description.
Overall I think Tutto remains a very good 1 credit TS restaurant, we werent rushed but service was efficient, food was good, and we had an enjoyable, relaxed meal. After dinner my parents got to see Illuminations for the first time which my mum loved, and was a great way to finish off our first day at Disney.
