Odds of last minute Tusker House with large party?

I have a reservation for four for lunch at Tusker House in mid-August. Now other members of our family want to join, taking the total to 10. Only time I can get right now is 3:20, which is obviously sub-optimal for lunch. Should I bother trying or am I wasting my time? If we booked a separate reservation for six, would they be able to seat us near each other?

I obviously can't say for certainty you will find something, but I say keep trying. We are a party of 8 going mid-August and hard-to-get reservations have been popping up still for me. Hope it works out for you!

It is doubtful you would be seated near each other. I'd keep trying for sure!

They try but cannot guarantee to seat you together or near each other. You should be aware that even if you book the ADR for all of your party there is a chance your party will be broken up to be seated. It has happened to us.

We book two or more reservations often and just about every time got to sit together. Once at Ohana we couldn't get a table together if we wanted to sit right away - otherwise we could have waited. So we made a kids and an adult table - yet we were right next to them and the kids were not young.

Keep trying - you can get it.

Keep your existing ADR and then get on Touring Plans restaurant finder and hope for the best. Remember a huge number of people make multiple ADR for restaurants until they figure out what park they will be in. ADR's get canceled all the time and you might get lucky with getting 2 smaller ADR;s for everyone. They will not promise you anything but when you check in if you have 2 ADR's they will try their best to help you.
