odd trade question

Hi everyone,
I am not sure if this is a thing but has anyone ever done trades of their own living space for DVC points or reservations?
Similar to airbnb except DVC.
Im asking because it just occurred to me that having an apartment in NYC might be useful to someone who owns DVC points but may not be able to use them or maybe wants to do something else for one of their vacations and maybe shied away from somewhere like lake tahoe or NYC because of the lodging cost.
Ive rented points before and had really good experiences and I was just looking again but didnt see much in the way of inventory and this idea came to me.
Just throwing it out there and haven't thought it entirely through.

I can't see there being enough of a market to do so routinely. Maybe for special events like you lived in August, GA and traded it out during the masters. Otherwise if I had something that would work for that and were so inclined, I'd just do Air BnB or similar and either buy or rent DVC (or other vacation options). Otherwise it doesn't save either party, any taxes would be the same and it's a lot more complicated.
