Odd ticket upgrade question.

I have a florida 3 day pass which I have used all three days on. As I understand it, I can still upgrade it to a florida resident AP or florida resident seasonal as long as I do it within the six month time frame from when I originally used it. My question now is, do I have to physically do that at Disney or, because the tickets now have numbers on them and the whole bio metric thing for tracking, would I be able to call and pay for it via phone and have them upgrade it that way. I ask because I would like to convert it prior to my next trip in order to have access to AP rates in case they are cheaper than the fl res rates that have come out.

If anyone knows if this is possible, I would appreciate your response. Thanks!

If you have used all three days of a 3 day pass there is nothing left to trade in. The ticket has been completely used.

Yeah, I know it seems odd but I asked about this several times and was told I could. If I can't still upgrade it, its not the end of the world but it would sure save a few bucks.

Yes, you can upgrade as long as the pass is not expired. BUT, YOU DO HAVE TO DO THIS IN PERSON. You will get the new pass at that time. Remember, the new pass will back-date to the date of first use on your 3 Day ticket.
