I finally got around to calling MS regarding my confirmation letters I received that had no reference to my request for two studios to be near each other.
One, I'm assuming (I might be wrong.) that they didn't originally put in the request because they told me today they would cross reference it and send me new copies and...
Two, they told me I had to change the name on the second studio ressie to a person who was going to be in that room.

I can't have two rooms at the same time both in my name?
Doesn't really matter cause it is my Mom, but I just thought it was odd they insisted today I change the name.

Someone had mentioned to me that if both studios were in my name they would most likely be near each other.

Anyway.... :p

That is strange. When I booked our 2 bedroom and a studio, I just put both reservations in my name. MS didn't care. He asked how I wanted to do it.

I was surprised, when you call cro for rooms, they want to know everyones name, kid's ages, etc....

FOTM_Ring_Bearer,
Did you get two separate confirmation numbers or were they both on the same confirmation letter? Mine are separate.

I recently booked a 2-br, a 1-br and a GV for August of 2004. They're all in my name. I was just told to call back when I knew who would be in which unit so that their names could added to the reservation. She said it would just make check-in for them possible if we weren't all together.

LOL..just amusing myself..what if you wanted to book four units - yours, the one above, and the one on each side, so that you'd be assured of little noise? After a long day with teenage boys, this doesn't even sound like a bad idea...

Actually Dotti, I told her we were arriving togther in the smae car and woudl be checking in at the smae time and she still insisted they had to change the name. I was just worrid cause soemone had mentioned to me the chances of the rooms being close togther might be better since both were in my name. Oh well, we'll see! It is the only request I asked for with the exception of non smoking.

i had two studios this past aug. i was told to put one in my name and one in dh name, and that they can not guarantee the two studio to be right next to each or very close.
when we got there i put the second studio in my sisters name and the studios were on the same floor but dsis studio was one of those that was the furtherest from the lobby, ours was very close to lobby::MinnieMo

When I made ressies for us and for my parents and my in-laws, I asked for a 1BR and 2 studios -- all NS for medical reasons and asked that they be close but absolutely NOT adjoining (knew we would all need our space). We ended up with my parents' studio adjoining ours and my in-laws at the absolute opposite end of the building. It was soo bizarre. The reservations were made in each family's name but all were supposedly linked and cross referenced and it appeared that way on the confirms. Maybe because we didn't check in until 3:30? maybe that was all that was left?

The room was probably put in a different name so that the person in that other room can check in at a different time than the rest of the party... and sometimes all requests are not printed on reservation confirmations.
