Odd breafast fix'ns..we all have them..mine is...

MMMMMMM! Cold hawaiian pizza!!! Gotta love it for breakfast!

cottage cheese and clementines. Boy I miss clementine season.

BTW how do you fry bologna??

I love hot sauce on scrambled eggs. And Canadian bacon- the really thin real Canadian bacon, dipped in corn meal and done in the skillet.

Pam

Nothing too weird yet. My dad has you all beat. He eats oatmeal every day for his heart and tomato paste every day for his prostate. And, yes ----- he combines them and eats it for breakfast! Nothing like a healthy breakfast of oatmeal and tomato paste!

A bagel with cream cheese and bacon. :teeth:

I thought of something else, that I haven had since my spring break in high school, when I went to Bermuda. Captain Crunch, Crunch Berries, but instead of with milk, we had them with beer...and they were actually good! I know it sounds nasty, but they were great.

My friend's dentist eats Fruit Loops with Red Pop on them........:crazy2:

My favorite still has to be Dad's "Navy Breakfast"....

Corned beef Hash and Baked Beans on English muffins, preferably served with a pineapple fizz (pineapple juice and ginger ale).

I'm really picky, it has to be a certain brand of hash (which I can't get locally) and either B&M or Bushe's baked beans and Thomas's english muffins.

For a long time, anyone coming to visit from NY had to bring cans of the coveted Hash with them. I don't think that's happened for the past few years, tho!

Suzanne
(Oh no, now I have to have this again!)

As a kid my Mom often served Sicilian pizza dunked in tea! Yummy! I have it now and then, but my kids refuse to try it :teeth: .

Dh is from the Philippines and he LOVES fried rice with eggs over easy with mixed in. Only, he doesn't use the american bacon he uses Tocino. I noramly can't stomach breakfast, but when I visited the Philippines this was the only food I would eat!LOL! It is good!

Fried bologna..... mmm.. brings back memories - easy to prep, just slice (we'd get the little chub packs), and pan fry in a black iron skillet!

The other weird thing - freshly made boudin (a Cajun specialty - basically a pork and rice fresh sausage) and cane syrup on white bread!! Gotta have it at least once every winter!

I love rice a roni or pizza or lasagna in the mornings. I prefer b'fast at night (which is what I made last night).

Sausage and syrup is a pretty tasty combo.

Okay, I believe I am speaking for most New ENglanders when I question the fried bologna. Where we come from, bologna isn't something that you cut at home (and I don't even know what a "little chub pack" is!). It comes from the deli at the grocery store, it is sandwich sized, and you put it on bread with mayo and/or mustard and cheese. Although I have family in PA who talk about eating "ring bologna", whatever the heck that is.... maybe it is the same thing that you all are frying up for breakfast!

As for our weird stuff, I recently saw a restaurant that offered a "chicken liver and cheese omelet" on the menu. Actually, that appealed to my DH and I will probably make it for him next weekend (however, I will stick to my Special K or light toast with a bit of peanut butter and sliced banana..... gotta watch those WW points ya know!).....................P

I love to make scambled eggs with Allouette and smoked salmon and then wrap it in puff pastry.

I also love egg in the middle of toast - but our typical weekend breakfast is homemade sausage gravy over biscuits with grits - I went to college in the south and I am now a G R I T S.

I am a huge fried bologna fan and I am a true blue northerner. I actually love fried bologna sandwiches so I have my cafeteria here at work make them for me on occasion - they think I am wierd but they all say it harkens back to when they were young.

I do fried bologna from regular sliced Oscar Myer bologna.

In grade school our cafeteria used to serve "bologna boats" that were made of fried bologna with leftover mashed potatoes and grated cheese. They were kind of shaped like a taco. It was a very popular lunch!

DH has confessed that for his favorite breakfast as a kid, he and his brother would put a stack of Oreos in a tall glass, fill it with milk, wait for the bubbling to stop and then eat the whole mushy mess with a spoon.

There's a nice sugar rush to start the day with!!

Any type of eggs with maple syrup! Yum!

bisconts and gravy, syrup, grits, fried smoked sasuage all mix up together in a bowl. HHHH Good. I think have that for dinner tonight.

Also i eat anything for breakfeast to.

 That would make a great tag! They are definately an acquired taste ginningghost :duck: A restaurant near us here makes them with cheddar cheese and Jalapenos - man are they YUMMY! I pass by it every night on my way home from work and am tempted to pick them up to eat for dinner every time. Their's are not gritty at all - but mine often come out kinda gritty...........
