Octoberfest

Are you allowed to watch the Octoberfest show in the Biergarten without actually eating there? I'd rather nosh at the F&W show but would also like to see the show.

You can catch the outside acts..and during the food and wine fest this year...Octoberfest will be going on outside.

OK...can somebody clue me in as to what the Octoberfest is? I am leaving in 13 days and I have not heard a thing about this before. Any info is appreciated
