We stayed at POFQ the first week of Oct. in 2005, the crowds were not bad, it was HOT. I'm from Long Island, it was like our august hot but my SIL lives in Orlando & she said we got an unusually warm week. Have fun @ POFQ we loved it.
P.S Ranger fans here too
We love going in October. Still nice and warm, water parks are open and water temps are good, MNSSHP going on, reduced crowds (note reduced, not light). 139 days till we're there again.
Last yr is was hot and humid for Oct 12-16th. The kids were very hot in costume. I have been at same time before and paid over $50.00 a piece for sweatshirts. My teeth chatter when I get cold. I was cold. It was nice in the day, had a light jacket on, then at night it chilled down. I really hated buying those sweat shirts, but it was that or ruin my trip. I guess watch the weather.
Hey let's make this a Rangers fan fest. Ranger fan in south Jersey surrounded by Flyers fans. We usually go the end of October and have had great weather. Shorts and sometimes a sweatshirt at night. Crowds were very manageable.
October can be nice. The attendance levels are lower and temps generally are getting lower too. This last year was unsual as it did not really cool down until December.
My family and I went the second to last week of October 2006. It was hot, hot, hot! We wore tanks and shorts all week. Some locals were saying that it was uncommon for that time of year. The good thing was that my dd3 could swim all day and night and not get cold! Have fun!
Nice to see so many people who share two of my passions!Disney with my family and our NY Rangers!Sorry to see youre surrounded by flyers fans ,but it could be worse. They could be Devils fans!
Looks like we are located in the same neck of the woods...Unfortunately, we are on opposite sides of the fence when rooting for local teams! Islander fan all the way! We do have a couple of Ranger fans in the family though! It's funny when you have arguments with family when deciding which team bib to put on my daughter!
