I'm not being picky... I'm open for every resort... There is NO DVC member inventory for October 7...

Hopefully the waitlist will come through so I know when to buy my airline tix for returning home...

Since I've never been on a waitlist, what has seemingly been an average amount of time for you to be on it?

Waitlisted for 2-bdrm at SSR for Oct 18. For some reason, the whole week was availabe except for that one night - I thought that was a little strange.

OK following up...

I called MS to double check that I've been waitlisted for every resort (1 BD and Stu) and found that I wasn't... So I'm really glad I called today...

I'm now on 20 waitlists for the night of 10/7...

Here's hoping I get something... Anything...

We were wait listed for a 1br at SSR for the 18th and got it sat.It looks like they had some rms open up for wk of the 14th at SSR.

I just called today and got a 1 br at SSR for October 11-16. I too wanted something on the 18th but nothing was available! So we moved our trip up to the weekend before.

I would think your odds are pretty good! The 7th is the day we're arriving. I knew it would be a busier week because of Columbus Day, but I hope it's not TOO bad!

Add me to the list of people waiting for- you guessed it- October 7th, studio, anywhere. I was on a waitlist for the 8th and the 11th, too, but those came through already, so I'm booked for the 4-6, and 8-12 at SSR. This was a "spur of the moment/meeting friends/can't wait 18 months between WDW trips/new home purchase stress is really getting to me" vacation. I didn't know it was Columbus Day weekend, and I booked my flight first (little lack of foresight there, I know). I have a room booked at Pop Century for the 7th just in case the wait list doesn't come through. If I have to move, I'll just plan on packing an overnight bag for my one night at Pop. If I had kids, this kind of flexibility would probably not be possible, but for a solo, it's a minor inconvenience.

I'll plan better for the next trip. I already know it's going to be November, 2008, so you can bet I'm booking 11 months out.

And man, I hope that one of my friends doesn't see this. Her husband and I are trying to surprise her for her birthday. I know he reads the boards, but I don't know if she does. If you see this, Amy: These aren't the droids you're looking for. Move along.

Waitlist came through for October 7th... I've got a 1 Bedroom at Saratoga Springs... I am going to WL for OKW since I'm there on the 6th...

I was looking to book BCV or BWV for Oct. 27-31. I was able to get a 1brm at BWV for the night of the 27th and the 30th. I wait listed for the 28th and 29th about 3 weeks ago. This week the 29th came thru so just waiting for the 28th. I've booked the Pop Century for the 28th just in case.

I made someone happy today. Cancelled BW studio preferred view today for 10/14 - 10/19. Hope someone from the DIS got it.

My WL hadn't come through as of this AM when I checked online but I called MS to add on the dining plan and they had the one night we needed at OKW available (10/28). So no moving for us! Woo hoo! And that freed up a 1BR SSR on 10/28 if anybody needs it. Call now!

You might try calling MS and see if anything is available. I still have suspicions that the waitlist isn't just "automatically" filled when someone cancels. There's too many people that post that they just got their nights by calling MS. I don't think that's just luck.

As of yesterday I am on a waitlist for Thursday Oct 25th at OKW. I have the 26th and 27th, need a studio but nothing else was avail anywhere for the 25th. Well no other studios were avail anywhere for the 26th and 27th either except OKW.

Now I did call 12.5 weeks out so getting 2 out of 3 wasn't to bad. Hopefully I can get that one night.
