Boy it seems like according to this forum that there are alot of people going to WDW in October. I am taking my kids out of school and we are going the week of 10/16-10/22. I have been in the Magic Kingdom before on the Saturday before Columbus Day and I would never, ever do that again, but is seems like October will be pretty busy anyway. Tried to make ADR's for Fantasmic dinner package for either H & V or for Mamma Melrose but to now avail. I did get The Brown Derby package but we have to eat at 3:40 in the afternoon. Any suggestions on a good itinerary?? Is the Magic Kingdom going to be a mob seen? We are not doing MNSSHP but we will be spending alot of time in Epcot and MGM since we are staying at BWV. I just can't believe how hard it is to get ressies considering all the kids will be in school. I guess WDW is always busy now, no matter what time of year!! Anybody else going in October?

Yeah we'll be there with you!!!! We arrive on 10/15 and will be at POFQ until 10/20 when we board the Disney Wonder for our first ever trip on the DCL. We're doing MNSSHP on 10/16. Can't wait!!!

We'll be there Oct. 20 - Oct. 30. MNSSHP Oct. 23rd.

I think that the free dining that they offered through the beginning of October has accounted for it being busier this year. We go the same time every year and have not had major crowds. I hope all of the crowds are there at the first half of the month, not the end of the month. :maleficen

As I'm sure you feel the same....WE CAN'T WAIT :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I am going Oct 6-15 at Yacht Club!!! We are also doing the MNSSHP on the 11th. We were there on July and I am sure the crowds won't be worse that that!!

We will be there Oct. 21-28, going to MNSSHP on Oct. 25! We can't wait! We went the same time alst year and the crowds were not a problem. We LOVE MNSSHP and the Food & Wine Festival!

Yeah, I figured it couldn't be as crowded as the summer!!! Actually the best week we had so far was the last week in August when we stayed at the Poly, that was AWESOME, no crowds and not too hot!! :sunny:

We are going 10/19-10/23 for F&WF. We went in Oct. 2003 and decided that was the best weather we've ever had! Low 80s everyday, very little rain, and a wonderful breeze. It was fantastic. There were more people in Oct. but we were used to going Labor Day week (HOT!! but no crowds). We have been in Jan. too which was mid 60s to low 70s (cooler in the AM and PM too). We decided that Oct. is probably best for us. Yes, there are a few more people but the crowds are very manageable and the weather is not so hot.

Enjoy your trip!

We are going the same week. We arrive on Sat the 15th and that will be our spectro night(all spectro night at MK will be very crowded). It seems like the crowds in general will be very large. The dining package is causing the restaurants to fill up also. Also, consider MNSSHP, food wine festival, and fall break! ON Sunday we are heading to AK, Monday MGM, Tues MK, Wed Epcot, Thur MNSSHP, Friday...sleep and AK. Good luck with your itinerary! We have a Mama Melrose package for fantasmic but most likely wont keep it because we want to see the parade...both are at 4pm.

October 27th through November 1st for F&W Fest and MNSSHP on the 31st. Also celebrating Birthday AND 5th Anniversary, AND having mini-family reunion.

How's that for packed?!

October 13-15 or 16 and then the 22-29th for us! Can't wait! F&W, MNSSHP, fun! Enjoy all! :cheer2:

We will be there from October 12th thru October 16th. We are going to MNSSHP on the 13th. We were there during Spring Break last year and it was crowded. Have been there during October before and crowds are much easier to deal with.

Hi fellow October vacationers. :wave2:

Our group of 10 will be at SOG from 10/14 to 10/24. I made our ADR's last week and had no problems getting everything we wanted:

Lunch at Le Cellier
Lunch at Sci Fi
Dinner at The Plaza

We already had Hoop De Doo ressies and the rest we will do counter or at SOG.

Can't wait!!

We'll be there 14th through 22nd. My kids have fall break the 17th through 21st so our school is closed. I'm planning on it being packed because a lot of people have said they couldn't get ADRs.

We are arriving on the 22nd and heading back North on the 30th. Going to MNSSHP on the 23rd.

There is the Golf Tournament going on that week before as well as the Junior National Tae Kwon Do Championships at the Wide World of Sports (DD 12 is a 2nd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and would have loved to go watch it) , then there are a bunch of confrences going on in the Orlando area.

Oct 1st to Oct 21st for me - cant wait.
I will have a green ribbon on my backpack.
Going to MNSSHP on the 7th.

Just DH and I this trip....Oct 13-21 CSR, moving to Best Western DD 21-24.
Doing HDDR and Cirque for the first time! Looking forward to using the dining plan! PDR at CRT one evening (20th)too...first time in the castle for DH. I'll be wearing lime green ribbons every day and will also wear the DIS shirt sometimes too! I'll be looking for other DISers. If you see me, be sure to say hello! :bounce:

HI!
We'll be arriving at the YC Oct 13-17. Can't wait. I must admit I am a little bummed hearing how crowded it might be. We chose these dates thinking it won't be crowded. Oh well, I am used to the crowds, I just hope my friends won't mind.
