October Trip

This will be our first trip during October. We will be there 10/30-11/4 and will be attending MNSSHP on 10/31. Any info on the crowds, weather, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

I just got back, hopefully by the end of the month the weather will change, but it was BRUTAL the 9th - 12th. Not a breeze to be found anywhere, very high humidity and HOT! I vowed never again to go in October, the heat ripped the magic right out of the trip.

Hopefully by end of October you'll at least see a breeze.

We have been at this time of year twice-2005 and 2006 (missed last year). we are going again this year. Weather was great both times for us, a little warmer in 06 (we went mainly for the halloween party, although we stayed a week and did food and wine festival things as well). Our son and one of his friends went as Hans and Franz, and the sweatsuits got really hot before the night was over. I was very comfortable as little red riding hood. Be sure and bring costumes for the whole family, there are a lot of folks who dress up. That said, since it can be warm, I don't think I would get one of those fake fur animal suits (pooh, eeyore). Think lighter weight, and have a great time!

We went in 2006 during that week. The weather was very nice.....hot enough to swim but not too hot! Also, we drove down Halloween night so we went to MK the day after Halloween and it was virtually empty! I was surprised how we had the place to ourselves. The crowd level was great until Jersey week started to creep in!

This will be our 4th trip in October and we love it (we are from NY). It is usually mid to high 80's, so perfect to swim, and warm but not hot evenings. We love that we get to extend our summer a bit with some extra swimming. Our favorite time of the year to hit WDW. In 06 we went the first week of October and we had 90 degrees, but that is fine with us!
