Hello everyone. My wife and I are planning another trip to WDW this year. Last time it was just us two, this time we will have our then to be one yr old. Looking for advise on A to Z. I have a few questions that come to mind, but please feel free to toss in anything else that may be helpful.

1. Our trip will be the first wk or two in October. What kind of crowds and weather can we expect?
2. Rental car, stroller. The last time we rented a car and used it very little except for a couple of store trips. I keep reading about the umbrella strollers and how easy they are to get on/off the bus. His is large with plenty of storage, it has a sun canopy, and we can lay him flat. Im thinking, him happy...us happy. Would we be better off renting a car so we can lug this thing around on our own terms, or is the bus just the best way to go from park to park? Also, we will be staying in WDW, so if you drive to the parks does is cost to park?
3.Child care. It appears that most people only use these services for a few hours at a time. Has anyone used these servives for a full day? Would love to hear your experiences.
4. At a year old can he get on the Fantansy Land rides? And overall, will he enjoy his first trip to WDW?

Thanks!!!!!

We have been travelling in October the past few years and love it! It's usually not as hot, but can get into the mid-80's. It's one of our favorite times of year to visit.

When we fly, we never rent a car. It's so easy to get around. Regarding umbrella strollers, I know a lot of people like 'em, but I found that our daughter was very uncomfortable in hers. So we upgraded to a Graco LiteRider. Since then we've had another child and bring the double-stroller, but that's another topic...

Can't help ya here. We've never used any. Lots of people on this site have though. I've heard a lot of good things about Fairy Godmothers.

Yes and YES! We brought our children as young as 4-mos-old, and they went on lots of rides. He will have a blast! They enjoy all the colors and sounds at his age. :)

Forgot to answer your question about crowds! They are very moderate. The lines are very reasonable and easy to manage. Take advantage of FastPass when you can.

Have you considered going to MNSSHP? It is SO much fun and one of the reasons we love going in October so much!!!
