October specials?

We are thinking about going to Disneyland for the first time in October 2011. Can anyone tell me what kind of specials(re:hotel/tickets) that Disney usually has for that month?

They didn't have ticket specials last year. I believe they had $400 off DLR hotels if you stayed at least 4 nights. But October is pretty popular with the Halloween stuff so I wouldn't anticipate any great deals. If they have anything they will announce it late August/early September.

Because October is very popular because of the Mickeys Holloween Party and other events going on unrelated to it. I would advise you to book your hotel at least 4 months before you go, and if you are booking HOJO's then min 4 months perferably close to 5 months to guarantee your hotel room with them. Also around that time frame start hunting for seat sales with different airlines in your area, and see if you catch a cheap airfare. MHP is very popular with this board and in general. Today the tickets came up for sale to the general public, and a bunch of us die hard MHP fans who wanted tickets stayed up till midnight to get tickets only to discover that DL decided to put them on sale at 8:30am this morning (GRUMBLE!). If you are looking to get tickets for the MHP party check the Holloween time super thread on this board for tons of pics and info on it. Take it from me who's going down for the first time, this thread is a gold mine of info about it, and learned alot about Holloween time at DL because of it.

Thanks to the both of you for the response. We just returned from our yearly WDW trip and I told the DW that I just have to see Walt's park. If nothing unforseen comes up we'll be there next October.
