Hi guys,
I've decided on October 2010 and I'm just in the process of pricing up/booking.

Can anyone please tell me what the rough opening times of the parks will be, Disney, Universal, Seaworld...etc

Also is it swimming pool weather?

How about the crowds Late October? I've looked at the attendance rates and it says that it is a quiet time to go despite all the UK schools being off for October half term. Is this right?

I've only been late September before and I loved the low crowds and the weather.

October seems a bit too good to be true so I'm just checking... :rotfl2:

Disney opening times for last year here, not sure if you can find other parks anywhere. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hours.htm

Yes almost certainly great swimming weather.

Crowds used to be very low, not so much now with free Dining offers but still not too busy.

Its definitely our fave month, only downside for us is DS at High school doing GSCE's. can only do 9 nights max. Apart from that no fault with Oct.

We love October :cool1:

Shorts and Vest weather all day long, even the night time was warm.

Must admit though last year Orlando had record lows of 8 degrees for two days on the trot. Gosh was it cold them two days. We attempted to go Sea World one day, got to the turnstiles and turned back. However next day, back to in the 80's crazy weather.

Crowds were fairly heavy on the day we arrived which was the holdiay weekend of labor day, and then for a few days after, but once the holiday weekend crowds had dispersed then it was just right.

In the past, prior to the children been at school we used to visit the second week of January for three weeks, which was dead, dead, ghost town quite, but I must admit that with so little people about, there did nt seem as much magic about the place imo.

Park hours were ample for us when taking advantage of the emh's, and for all the other parks ie seaworld, US, IOA if you check out there websites they already have their hours posted.

We are going in Oct for the first time this year. I've heard its ok, for weather and crowds, although it maybe a little cooler on a nightime, so I'm going to take a lightweight cardi with me. I asked about pool heating for our villa and was told by a few kind people on here to get it as it can be quite cool without it.

Ive been in Oct, april may & June. And by far Oct was the best month to go for me!!! Hense why we're going again this year!!!

Low crowds, lush weather, halloween season...it doesn't get much better then that! xx

Thanks everyone :thumbsup2

October 2010 is sooo far away, I suppose it just means that I've got longer to save up :goodvibes

Am seriously considering October for our holiday next year, presently looking at going in the last two weeks in August but am not so keen to pay premium prices for flights. If the weather is a little cooler, it might be a bit more manageable for the kids (5 & 8 at the time of travel), but am still hopeful of coming back with a tan!

At least the dining plan is still running then!
