October: Mickey's Halloween Treat...is this like Mickey's Not So Scary Hall. Party?

We will be in DL in Oct. and I just read briefly about Mickey's Halloween Treat Nights....is this anything like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party? Is there anything else along this line? Has anyone been to this? Can anyone share their experiences and is it worth it for a family of 5? Thanks so much!

We went to MHT last year, haven't been to the other one, so all I can say is we had a great time. It was me and dd 6. Arrived about 45 min before opening and there was already a line (it was a Sunday night) went in, lines moved fast...and off we went. Thanks to help from this board, we by passed the first few treat stations and went further into the park. We were the first ones where the princesses were for a pic, (around where Ariel's grotto is) down to the boardwalk, and not many others about. circled back around later and hit the treat stands we missed without much line. Loved the live music, the crafts, the open rides, the boardwalk games that you didn't have to pay for (for a change.) I thought we'd leave way before closing, with the little one, but we didn't leave till 10:30.. it was great.

Went last year, was there the same night as abby!! It was great, but it is like a slightly scaled down version of MNSSHP! Take away a few activities and no parade or headless horseman!

It's very fun, but crowded. The time I went, the lines were HUGE for the candy and characters.

We went last year. The longest we waited in a treat line was maybe 5-10 minutes. Most of them we walked up with little to no wait. It was crowded, but the lines moved along quickly. We had so much fun we're planning on going this year as well!
