You are absolutely right. Every year I go to Vegas and WDW. People think that it's strange that I enjoy both those locations enough to go every year, since they are seemingly so different. But I tell them exactly what you said. They're more alike than you'd think. Just look at the hotels?! Tell me they don't look like they were designed by the same Imagineers who built the pavillions of the World Showcase.

I've read that the new fireworks show in the MK (called "Wishes" IIRC) is supposed to have a "soft-open" beginning on the 6th (I hope so because I fly home on the 7th), and will officially start on the 8th (to coincide with the Grand Opening media event for "Philharmagic").

It is then supposed to run every night until at least the end of the year.

I wonder if the 11:00 closing on the Saturdays in October could mean two showings of the fireworks those nights? Checking the August schedule, this Monday the MK is open until 11 - with Spectromagic at 9 & 11, with FitS at 10 - so they could do that in October too.
