I just noticed they changed some MK park hours the week of the 20th. Now my schedule is all messed up. Any chance they will change it back? They now have MK closing at 7:00 on the 21st, and no fireworks or Spectro. What do you all think?

Now they are open later on the 22nd with Spectro. Hopefully you can make that night.

Looks like the pretty much switched the hours and such for the 21st and 22nd.

Maybe that is what we'll do. I already had the Keys to the Kingdom Tour for that Wed. I hate to do that in the morning and then back there at night. i like to do 2 parks a day. Oh well, what better park than the MK to be at all day, right?!
Thanks

The reason the Magic Kingdom is closing at 7:00 p.m. on 10/21 is that there's a private event there that night from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. for the Gartner Symposium technology conference.

I'm just glad they switched the nights instead of just cutting back.

I wonder if the Disney bean-counters (and that is a noble profession) have taken over day-to-day operations from the Disney management. I mean, the tweaking and minute adjustments to employee hours has a limit and has to stop somewhere, does it not? Did you see the news that (part of) Adventureland will be closed from 9 am to 10 am on certain days? I don't think it adds to the "magic" for park guests to see closed attractions.

Anyway, back to the MK hours: they've changed Tuesday 10/21 from 8:30 pm to 7 pm, Wednesday 10/22 from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and Thursday 10/23 from 8 pm to 7:30 pm. By my count that's a net cutback of 1 hour.

I wouldn't even be taking your time with this, but I also saw that Typhoon Lagoon will now be closed on 10/22 and 10/23!

Oh, we'll get over it and adapt, but that doesn't mean we'll be so eager to return to visit a World of closed parks and attractions. ::yes::

Gosh darn it!!

Here I was hoping for some extended Disney Studios hours and instead they've closed TL for two days during my week. Even though we had planned to go to BB on the 23rd, with TL closed, I'm sure everybody else will be going to!!

Oh well, if it's too crowded at BB we'll just head back to the pool.

Where was the information about the reduced hours for Adventureland discovered? And when is this supposed to occur?
Thanks for any info on this.

This same thing happened to us many times for our September trip. I mean right up to just a couple of days before arriving. They closed the water parks EACH 2 days a week, then openned one on a Saturday it was suppose to be closed. It was crazy. So when I see folks get excited about the park hours being posted, I tend to take a cautious approach to making my plans. We leave in a couple of weeks, so never know what further changes will occur.
