October at Vero?

Hey everyone!

Planning our October trip (7-16) and considering trying to get in at Vero 14-16. Will it be booked solid? What is it like at Vero in October? What activities are there to do, etc.? Our kids love the sand, so we figure on it being a couple of nice relaxing days to finish up our trip before we return to the "real" world.

Never having been to Vero Beach, can someone tell me what it's like, and if there's a prayer of getting in at the 7 month mark (tomorrow)?

Thanks for the great link! I'm going to enjoy it all day...while I TRY to work! LOL

Got what I wanted...called first thing this morning and got in for an OVIR Oct 14-16, so now we get to rest our tired post-WDW feet at Vero! We are so looking forward to it. The resort looks lovely, and since we live landlocked in Denver we will love spending some time at the beach.
