October and early entry hours

If we're going in late October do you think the early entry will make that much of a difference? There will be less crowds anyway right? I'm considering staying off property.

The thing is if it's less busy the parks tend to close earlier and open later. Personally I always opt to stay onsite but it's a personal preference. Just knowing that I don't have to get in my car from check in to check out is wonderful. Late October also has more Halloween parties scheduled meaning that MK will close at 6PM for non ticket holders.
