October 7, 2006 Western "Latitude Adjustment Cruise"

I looked into doing a 4 day and 3 day B2B on the Wonder next Summer for the family, but it was just too much money for 9 people (Our new Grandson will arrive in 12/06 or 1/07) So sadly I booked us on the Crown Princess out of NYC, a 9 day cruise for only 8.2K for the 9 of us. We haven't had a Magic family cruise since 2003. I will book one on board for Jan 5th 2008. We've really felt guilty about going on cruises without them, this will be our 3rd & 4th cruises on the Magic without them, Ah but life isn't fair is it. See everyone in 23 days :cool1: :Pinkbounc :grouphug:

Not doing the document dance in PA. :confused3 :confused3 Only three weeks until we are in Florida hope they show up soon.

Hi guys, I'm sorry if someone already asked this but here I go. What would a sis and seven year old girl wear to the pirate night? My DD's want to wear dresses? Do pirate girls wear dresses?? Thanks in advance!! pirate:

I'm just catching on up the thread -- (and clearly, my pain killers have kicked in, I have the gout of all things) -- and would suggest a vest, a twirly skirt, maybe an eye patch and a bandana??? I'll be wearing a bright red skirt, black lace up vest, white shirt and a pirate bandana on my head! My son, "Crocodile" Dave who is nine, has a red vest I made him (and will use after the cruise for his Boy Scout patches), ripped up looking pants and shirt and a stuffed "crocodile" head hat!

We got 2 of our 4 documents yesterday. Doing the Document Dance :dancer: :dancer: They were down in an empty flower pot, I just happened to look there. Gotta watch those "Men in Brown" :chewy: Right Bill? Wonder how long they'd been there. WOHOOO!!!!! I keep hoping to see Jamie or Alan on the Dis Board. BIg Red 1 have you heard any new news. Hope things are still going well.

Carolyn
I talked to Alan last night. He is still in some pain, left arm, hip and his head. He is on some anti-inflammatory meds and some pain meds. He is regaining his sense of humor though. He said they were ready for the cruise, just glad it wasn’t today! The problem is the possibility of another surgery on his arm if it is not healing properly. That could be the cruise killer. They won’t know for another couple of weeks. So, keep those prayers and pixie dust coming!!! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:
CruzList #16 is in the mail. I sent the first mail before I attached the list. So, I sent another with it attached. Be sure to read the one without the attachment.
It is 22 days, 22 hours, 13 minutes and 40 seconds until Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 5:00:00 PM (Orlando time)

Two burning questions on my mind this morning....

1. Has anyone received their cruise documentation/tickets in the mail yet? It is less than a month away and I haven't. Wondered if that were true for the rest of the troops. (I'm secretly hoping I haven't gotten mine because they are upgrading mine and trying to figure out the perfect cabin to put me.)

2. There are tons of kids on our cruise. Are you guys pulling your kids out of school? My first grader has 2 days of holiday due to Columbus Day but will still miss 4 days. (Bad Momma per School District) What are the rest of you doing.

THANKS. Dreamt of Disney cruising last night.

We emailed Small World travel and was told that the documents are generally mailed about a week before the cruise. I panicked and emailed her back and said we'd be in Orlando by then (POFQ) and can she see that ours are mailed sooner? She did and they will.

Secondly -- our son is on fall break -- he's in year round school and tracks off the first three weeks of October. Of course, what he doesn't know is that we will still make him do his reading while we're vacationing....... :dance3:

Dear DisCruise Family,

I want to thank all of you for the prayers and pixie dust. It seems as if a year has passed since Sunday night's accident. Life comes at you fast!

Cale will be able to return to school on Monday. :thumbsup2

Alan is improving greatly with each day. :) He is even making wisecracks again. :joker: We really hope to be on the cruise, but his health comes first of course.

Thanks again for all the well wishes, pixie dust, and especially the prayers!

Jamie

Oh, yeah...we got our documents yesterday....not dancing, yet, just kinda toe-tapping........we'll see.

:cheer2: :cheer2: YEAH RAH !!! :cheer2: :cheer2: ... Glad to see you back on with us.. So glad that Dancin' Man :dancer: is on track and sure hope that things go well and we'll get to cruise with ya! Prayers still going up for all of you (and a little pixie dust won't hurt either). pixiedust: Hang in there Alan!

Forgot to say I got my documents on Monday party: ... man in brown :chewy: left mine at a door we don't use but once in a blue moon! (but then Bill's not my driver)

Got my online boarding done and contract signed... so I'm ready to roll :rotfl2:

Yea I just ordered Dh's birthday celebration for the stateroom!!! I like the new one with the door magnet included. Also the lady on the phone put a order in for the dining room to celebrate his b-day on tuesday!! So if you have early dining and see a grown man about to kill someone that will be us. Dh isn't going to be happy with me but he'll get over it!!!

Now I just have to call Shirley and order a b-day basket for the cruise.

Having cruise document envy. I want MINE. Wah.

We are getting so excited as it grows near. We are also excited about going back to our favorite resort POFQ for 2 nights prior and trying out Magic Kingdom's Mickey's Halloween party...but most of all..we want to step through those ears and get on board. :Pinkbounc

To reply to the excursion topic...
I sent our email inquiries to several sting ray city operators so we can get our excursion out of the way. So hopefully we'll be doing Sting Ray City in Georgetown through a private operator. In Key West we are going to do the Aquarium and just wander around a bit on our own. We were just in Key West in March so won't stay long. Long enough to get a key lime pie on a stick though! In Cozumel I believe we are going to take a taxi to Paradise Beach and get our wrist bands and enjoy the facilities and beach. No official DCL excursions for us this trip.

Finally,
Are we having a cruise meet? I assume it has been brought up before and I just haven't read it? I was hoping it would give my DD, 6, a jumpstart on meeting some friends her age.

Texasgirl - my niece is 6 too. She's already informed us that she wants to meet new friends on the cruise so she can have a penpal. I don't think a certain meeting has been set up but I definitly think it's a good idea.

Teaxas Girl and Daisy, my DD's are 6 and 7. They love making new friends as well! We can come up with something!!! Sabeking

I nominate TexasGirl, daisy112878, and Sabeking to organize the dis-meet! All those in favor say I...... ::yes::

She is talking about Shirley (snelsonbrown on the dis) at The Perfect Gift in Cocoa Beach. She makes gift baskets for cruise ship passengers. You order a basket from her for yourself or someone else and it is waiting when you board the ship. She is from Key West and can tell you anything you want to know about Key West. Call her and give her a theme or an idea of what you want and she comes through with flying colors. I have heard nothing but good about her. Give her a call.
Allen

Woohoo! We got our cruise documents :cool1: and our boys still don't know we're going on a cruise!

If I'm not mistaken I think I may have snagged POST #600 :lmao:
