DH and I also have the 8:30 seating.

General ??? What is the earlist that anyone has booked their flight home after the cruise? I called Disney and they said they recommend 12:30 PM has anyone booked earlier?
We have not flown to Orlando for the cruise, but I have read on the boards of people having flights as early 11:00 am. Most report making the flights, but it was close. Many people speak of the long lines for secuity at MCO. If you want to get off the ship earlier, you can go to Topsiders and eat breakfast. Then you can leave as soon as the ship is cleared. We try to get off the ship as early as possible and go to Grills for breakfast. Their breakfast is as good as dinner. This year we want to stop at Stone Mountain, Ga.,on the way home. We haven't been to the laser show in a few years. So it will be eat & run for us, but it will be Grills if at all possible first.

:teacher: Two more hours of school for me - tomorrow from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. :cool1:

Mary Margaret :teacher: See you at the pool on Saturday? Might skip the Tullahoma air show - Kathy says she needs me at the pool.

Life is good. Summer break is here. :sunny: (from a teacher who cried as each child left today.) (and cried on the way home just thinking about 'my babies' going on to 2nd grade)

Pool Bound

I'll be at the pool as soon as I'm done with school. We have to go until 10:30 so students can get their report cards. I'll grab some lunch and there I'll be.
Last full day tomorrow!!! Whew! It's gone fast, but now I've got to pack 20 years of my school items to move to a new room. Any help????

20 years worth of teaching stuff ??????

Man......you're getting old....... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just joking! :thumbsup2 I'll help you if you'll let me know when you're packing! Do you have a room to move it to? :confused3

Jamie

I'm a sailor without a boat.
I'm a conductor without a train.
I'm a pilot without a plane.
I'm a teacher without a room............
Hopefully I'll know something next week (when I'm on vacation).

Well guys, it looks like we are going to push our cruise out a year. We have decided that DS4 needs to go to a different school next year and they don't have a fall break. So, no cruise for us this year.

I am going to keep up with you guys. My DH has requested that someone have a Conch Cooler for him on CC. :thumbsup2

I have 8 bracelets in my possesion. I can send them back or on to someone else on the cruise......lemme know.

This is not how it is supposed to go. The list should get longer, not shorter. Sadness.. :sad2: ..It just won't be the same, but educational needs come first.

We were looking forward to seeing you again and getting to know Stacy. Maybe in 2007? :confused3

Best of luck with your son's new school! :teacher:

Jamie

Jamie,

So, you'll make sure that someone has the conch cooler? Thanks.

We are going to send DS4 to a montessori school for a year before he actually starts kindergarten. He needs one more year and an enviroment where can really maniplute the learning tools. (I almost wrote he needed a more manipulative school enviroment, but that just didn't sound right :rotfl2: )

Anywho, we are planing on being on the September 29th, 2007 sailing....unless we get a better offer :teeth:

Stacy

Stacy,

Mary Margaret, Caroline, Carolyn, and I are all elementary teachers. :teacher: If we bring some manipulatives for your DS to manipulate, could you justify the cruise? We could come up with some lesson plans.....

example - Paint a landscape of Castaway Cay (excluding your Daddy & his friends, of course) :rotfl:

example - How many Conch Coolers would it take for a 185 lb. man to be legally dr*nk? Use some unifix cubes to solve that one! :rotfl2:

Now that's math in action!!! Real world application. Your son could present his results when he returns to school.

How about it? :confused3

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Jamie,

We would need more of a language arts curriculum and fine motor practice. Whatcha' got?

BTW, Jack (DS8) and I might be at The World the first few days of October for a Dis meet. Anyone headed down early?

Stacy

Mary Margaret could guide us more in the Language Arts. We could use cubes for phonetic segmentation, I have lots of phonics ideas, we could have him write/read experience journals,..... MM, any more suggestions?

Fine motor - Caroline with Art, me with math manipulatives, I'm sure we could come up with something that would make the week worthwhile in the eyes of his teachers.

You know he will be gaining experiences in the clubs, too! Their activities are right on target in my opinion!

Jamie

OK, That's all I've got from the teacher personality.... :teacher:

Party personality says, "How about Sunday afternoon, July 9th, for a Pre-Cruise Party for the Middle TN group? Does this not work for anybody? Is it after the ressie date? Give me some feedback...reason being - Mike McFadden who is going on the cruise will be in town & would love to see everyone!"

Summertime teacher personality says, "I've been cleaning like a crazy woman today! Tomorrow, it's hit the pool time!!!" :sunny:

Let's get this thread going!!! :woohoo:

Yours truly,
Grainy Sybil

We will be at the port by then. Dinner at Grills, then party at the Radisson. I'd pass on that for a couple of days at the Polynesian and dinner at 'Ohana, though. :teeth:
