That would be the nicest thing. On a lighter note I filled the gas tank today for $1.95 a gallon. I'm not allowed to pack till Sunday, I keep telling DW we have to pack for 2 weeks, and that takes a lot of time. See ya'll soon :cool1: :cheer2: :dance3: :wave2:
Send some of that gas down here!! I thought we had some of the cheapest gas around and it's still around 2.35 gal. Thats much better than 3.00 gal last year at this time and they were talking shortages in Georgia and Florida. I'll take 2.00 over 3.00 gal. Saves me $30 a tank, and it takes almost 2 tanks to get there!

Wow you guys don't know how well you've got it. In Colorado Springs we're still paying $273.9 a gallon here for gas. :sad2: Can anyone say ouch?!

I can't believe it's finally here after booking the cruise almost 2 years ago (11/04) and not knowing if we'd really be going or not. :woohoo: The "Surprise" is still safe. Our 3 boys still think we are just going to do a tour of the "Disney Magic". :rotfl2:
We won't be wearing our green Western Latitude Adjustment bracelets till after the boys know we're not getting off.

It's only 6 more days and my youngest and I leave for Tampa and we'll be at WDW in exactly one week from today. :cheer2: This is coming up on me really fast now. I guess I better go pack. LOL :cool1:

A cruise meet sounds great to me. Looking forward to meeting you all.

I shop at Kroger and have a Kroger card... the gas is 2.25, and I get 10 cents off that.... so last night... $2.15.... YAHOO!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Yeah, in Denver just this morning, I paid $2.68! Where's that $1.95 gas????

We just finished packing several of our bags. We leave for Orlando on the 30th. Very, VERY excited!

We are praying for all those who are ill -- hope you can all make it! Much Pixie dust being sent your wayy!!! (<clapping> I believe in miracles! I believe in miracles! If it can work for Tinker Bell -- it can work for you!)

See you all very soon!

Well the prayers and pixie dust has worked very well so far. They allowed my sister to leave the hospital. They determined that she has sweet syndrome which is caused by having an infection. They will probably never know what type of infection but she's already doing so much better. She just told my dad that she was going on this cruise. So it looks like we're still in!!!!

Daisy, what a blessing that your sister is feeling better! I do hope that everyone is feeling well enough to travel and relax and have some fun.

I have been so busy with work that I haven't visited in a while. Have we chosen a time and place to meet? Please post if you know!!! :yay:

I think several people thought that 3pm at Goofy's Gallary (formly known as Scoops) was a good idea.

Yes, I think whoever is interested is going to be there. :thumbsup2 This is shortly before the safety drill.

Daisy, Thank goodness your sister is improving. We will continue to send prayers and pixie dust to you all and to 1971visitors family. Hopefully we will all be able make it and have a wonderful time! :yay:

We are in for Goofy's at 3pm! :goofy:

P.S. Does anyone know how important it is to have the confirmation letter that they send you? They sent us a new one because we added the Disney transportation from MCO just recently. Well, our 10 month old dog (65 pound lab mix named "Stella"), who apparently realized she is not included on this trip, got it off of the coffee table and shredded it. She did not eat it, she just shredded it into very small peices and left it right by the door from the garage where we would walk in and find it. Should I ask them to send another one? I still have the original one that just doesn't show the transportation option. Darn dog. Wait till she finds out she is staying next door with the two mastiffs (130 lbs and 160lbs) for the week!

Security Measures for Travel from or within the U.S.
Last Updated: August 22, 2006, 3pm EDT

The Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security has determined that there is a high risk of terrorism against U.S. civil aviation, and the need for extra restrictions to assure the security of air travel.

New Security Measures
Other Travel Tips
New Security Measures
In order to address the higher risk, the Department of Homeland Security has implemented the following new security measures until further notice.

No liquids, gels, or aerosols of any size are permitted to enter the sterile area through the screening checkpoint or be in accessible property or on one’s person except:

Baby formula, breast milk, or baby food in small containers if a baby or small child is traveling
Prescription medicine with a name that matches the passenger’s ticket
Up to 4 oz. of non-prescription medicines, including saline solution and other eye-care products
Up to 5 oz. per container of necessary liquids or gels (including insulin and juice) for diabetic passengers
Solid cosmetics and personal hygiene items such as lipstick in a tube, solid deodorant, lip balm, and similar solids
Examples of liquids, gels, and aerosols included in these security measures:

Beverages
Shampoo
Suntan lotion
Creams
Toothpaste
Hair gel
Hairspray
Liquid cosmetics
Other items of similar consistency
Also, you will not be allowed to bring any prohibited liquids, gels, or aerosols purchased after passing through the security checkpoint onboard the aircraft. Any beverages or other liquids, gels, or aerosols you purchase in the airport will have to be consumed or discarded before you board.

Other Travel Tips
Here are some more suggestions to help minimize your inconvenience:

Travel light—minimal clutter will expedite the screening process.
Check all of your bags.
See Check-in Requirements for info about when to arrive at the airport.
Store any prohibited duty-free items you have purchased onboard or in the airport in your checked bags before you recheck them following your customs clearance at your gateway city. (Unfortunately, we cannot assume any liability for damage to your duty-free items or other items damaged as a result of breakage or leakage of prohibited duty-free items.)
We'll do everything we can to give you the information you'll need during this heightened-security period. Check back here for updates.

Hi,

I haven't been checking up on the thread for a while...Busy busy busy

Just for all you Americans out there that think your gas is expensive... Try 1,33 euro's ( thats about 1,65 US$ ) per liter.... Now you know why we don't drive any Cherokee or Hummer vans here.... Except for some rich guys who don't know what to do with their money... :rolleyes1

Only about two more weeks to go. Time to get the suitcase out of the basement. We usually travel light, one suitcase between the two of us usually does it. Allthough I might need an extra bag for my evening dress this time. My mom has done a wonderfull job on it. :cloud9: I'll feel like Cinderella on a cruiseship!

I that isn't the best feeling in the world I don't know what is!

See you all soon!

Kyra.

First time cruisers - very excited 14 days and counting... Whoo HOOO :cool1:
I have had a great time reading and learning - thanks for all the cool tips and insights.
