**@@** Group Photo On Pirate Nite **@@**

We're going to try and do a group photo on Pirate night. I'll get Shutters to provide the photographer.

When: 7:40pm (between Main & Late Dining)
Where: Outside Lumiere's
Why: pirate:

We'll have to take the pic @ 7:45pm so we can be out of the way of the folks arriving for Main dining @ 8pm

Andy

Sounds like a plan to me... we will be there.. I will add the info to the first page :-)

:lmao:

Recent comment about rocky boat makes me a bit nervous. I get sea sick and have to use the patches. They always work so well, but maybe I'll need to double up this trip!!:

Are the patches OTC or do you need a script? Can anyone use them including kids? I had never been seasick in my life, until our last cruise to, of all places, Alaska. We hit the worst seas the crew and captain had EVER seen and out of 3200 passengers, 1800 were throwing up and required DR attention. They were giving out shots and actually ran out of meds. It was the most awful experience (I know DCL would handle things better than this cruise line did) but I NEVER want to take that chance again. We did take Dramamine but it was so bad that barely helped. Do you think the patches work better? I also took ginger pills but that didn't help either. I think I need to arm myself with better stuff just in case...

The patches are by prescription. I asked my doctor to write me a scrip ... just in case. ... I know that I used them when I was a little girl, so they must have some or be safe for children. I have also packed Children's Bonine, Adult Bonine, and Sea Bands. Don't want to take any chances:confused3

Oh Bridget.....I am SOooooooo jealous of you :sad1: ......I definitely figured you'd be one to be so with it and together. Teach me how, PLEASE!!!!!!! I finally got all the laundry done. All shopping done. Most of the kids stuff and bathroom stuff is laid out. Suitcases have been dug out of the garage (that counts for something, doesn't it??). :cheer2: We have a crazy week, but since we don't leave til Friday am, I figure I am doing okay. I am absolutely certain I will still be up most of Thursday night......It's just my way. Darn it!

Rebecca -

I didn't have a choice this time around! The house goes on the market today .. so I couldn't have piles laying around for people to walk around. I am actually surprised that I am ready to go already ... As you can imagine life has been a little hectic around here. I will admit it helps that Otis(DH) has been off work for the last week:idea:
Good luck with Lizzie at the Dentist!

DH gets seasick very easy. He starts using the patch the day before we get on the ship and for the whole length of time while he is on the cruise and until he gets home. It does give him a few side effects, like dry mouth. I'm bringing sea sick meds also for me just in case.

But my kids friends might be joining us for the meet. Caitlin will turn 9 on the cruise and Megan will turn 4 on the cruise. Caitlin is in third grade and has speech issues - so it sometimes is hard to understand her - because of this she is can be shy until she gets to know people. She told her mom she was afraid to go the lab, so I said she should come with us to the meet and make friends before she goes to the lab.
Hope it is not a problem.
Debbie

Maybe we could get Caitlin and my DD Juliet (9) together. She is intensely shy and won't go to the clubs. She is a larger girl and very self-aware. Jul loves the arcade- in particular the stuffed animal claw games..!

:yay: WOW! 4 days until the cruise! How many of us really thought the day would never come?

Yeah, my bank issue is working out. FDIC did close them but ING took them over so we are still in business..as usual. But I may take a look at changing banks anyway. But at least we still have money!

Still haven't done anything for the cruise..:confused3 I think I am procrastinating my procrastinating..is that possible? I don't even want to think about it! The luggage is sitting in the kitchen..don't ask! Clothes are .. well, here and there. Still have Wally trips to make...<sigh> maybe someone should start a business to help procrastinators...we might get around to calling them..sometime! :lmao: :lmao:

Can't believe we got over 100 pages to our thread! Wonderful! :woohoo: Two more days to work..then i can't procrastinate anymore..

LauraB has done so much for us with the organizing maybe she will start making the rounds and pack our suitcases for us too. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

I have not put ONE THING in my suitcases!!! In fact I still have to REMOVE things from my suitcases from last trip.

So while I might make nice lists and bug everyone about meets, I am a procrastinator as well :-)

Besides we have time... dont we? :lmao:

:hourglass By my watch you still have time, Laurabearz. But er, when did you say you were leaving? Tick, Tock, Tick Tock.

Where is that fairy godmother when you need her or the pixiedust: ?
:rotfl: :rotfl2:

I rather be able to twitch my nose like Samantha on BeWtiched :wizard:

I'm tellin' you ...it's this dang work. Why do they expect us to work when we go on vacaton in 4 days! The nerve! Since everyone here knows I am only working thru Thursday, they have this plan to laod me down with so much work I can't leave! It's comin' out of the woodwork! All of the sudden everyone needs everything...this week! Anybody else seeing this? PEOPLE, PEOPLE! I am not leaving permanently! Only 1 week! 1 lousy week..after all this I may need to take two..or three...hmmm wonder if you can get workman's comp for overwork? :lmao: :lmao:

I wonder if we should trade..you know I will pack for you..you pack for me?;)
Hey, I don't care if I show up nekked! I will still show up..'course I will prolly have the boat to myself..hmm the possibilities! :rotfl:

Eastern cruise reports still seas were choppy, husband witnessed lounge chair flying overboard  from deck 10. Lots of people feeling  ,even cms, because of rough seas.

OH NO - not liking rough seas reports pllus I checked the weather and it is rainging the entire trip - at every port :scared1: I hope it is mild and cooling not awful!

Rebecca, Tell Lizzy I am thinking of her (but please bring the pictures of her all swelled up - I would hate to miss that! :goodvibes !!)

Well, We are packed and ready. WE leave at 5AM tomorrow for WDW. Sure hope I did not forget anything! Did I tell you all that we lost our passports? It was a 3 hour search and destroy to find them the other night!!! Found them safely tucked in all my keep forever, never look at college school stuff! What they were doing there I will never know. Must have been mixed up when we moved the last time. We have two safes in our house (DH is police so we have to keep his stuff locked up) - you would think they would have been important enough to be in one of the safes  :confused3 LIVE AND LEARN! Glad to have them again!

Shirley

Don't rock the boat, don't rock the boat baby, rock the boat , don't tip the boat over. Is that a song? Sounds like we may need to join the chorus in that one.:scared: I won't think about that know, I still have other details to worry with. I'm not gonna let a little water and wind spoil my fun. (I hope) Don't worry be happy. Hey that's a song too.:rolleyes1

 Will you be singing :rolleyes1 at the karoke (sp) one night? Hope to see you there. :rotfl:

Muwah, sing,:rolleyes1 sure I would love to sing. LOL. Unfortunatley people don't seem to appreciate my kind of vocal ability as much as I enjoy performing my talent for them.:confused3(My family just doesn't know real talent when they here it).

Selket and I are on it.

FYI, per DD the CM, the WESTERN is normally calmer than the Eastern because on the Eastern you are so much closer to the open ocean - and right now the remnants of TS Karen and some other "disturbed" weather. I really doubt our cruise will be nearly as rough as the current Eastern.

Here's the 10 day forecast as of right now. Remember the weather CAN and does change.
Sat - Cape Canaveral - 87/73 - Scattered T-Storms 40% chance precip.
Sun - Key West 86/80 - Scattered T-Storms 40% chance precip.
Tue - Georgetown, Cayman Islands 86/79 Showers - 60% chance precip.
Wed - Cozumel 87/74 Showers - 60% chance precip.
Fri - Castaway (Nassau) not available yet

So throw in those Mickey ponchos and plan to have a ball. Scattered and Showers mean sometimes but not all day. Read it there's a 60% chance that there will be a shower sometime during the day. Probably just enough to make it nice and steamy!

My prediction continues to be "FANTASTIC CRUISE with new friends"

Since I'm obsessive, I'll keep you posted.

Maybe we could get Caitlin and my DD Juliet (9) together. She is intensely shy and won't go to the clubs. She is a larger girl and very self-aware. Jul loves the arcade- in particular the stuffed animal claw games..!

Maybe they would like to play the game that Laura has planned together!

Wow, that sounds TERRIBLE!! I use the scopolamine patches which are by prescription. Most Dr's will call them in for you without an appointment if you ask nicely :)
They are not officially approved for kids under 12, but kids seem to do so much better than adults with the OTC stuff. One box of patches comes with 4 in it and you put it on 4 hours before you travel (I actually use mine for flying too) and you change them every 3 days. There are definitely some side effects of dry mouth, mild drowsiness and I actually got the blurred vision last time I used them, but anything's better than the nausea and dizziness  My big problem is usually for about a week after the ship docks, I'm dizzy and nauseated and feel like I'm so off balance.....Blech!!

Thanks for the kind words about Lizzie and her tooth. It has been a LONG day, but she did great.....poor baby.....Okay.....off to get the kids some dinner and think about packing........oy!!

Rebecca
