i don't plan on being sick, but got the patches prescription from the doc. just in case, and to take care of DM too. plan to make this a good trip for her, prolly first and last for her anyway, might as well make it as good as possible. sewed all day long, got more accomplished, won't be long tll i'm done. i'm working on it, i'm working on it, plan on packing tomorrow, and picking up last min. stuff from walmart. we are on the last leg of the waiting period. where did the last two weeks go?? got my reain coat and hat, and i'm rearing to go. bring it on, the time has come. ready for that mini reunion

Did any of my button ideas interest you? If you want I can scale any of those up or design something for you to print. It only takes me a few minutes to throw something together. I would be glad to help if you want help. Just PM me if you want anything or if you want something new.. I really don't mind.

Just so everyone knows..anyone who packs before the 24 hour mark... you have violated the rules...and the one that packs 1 hour before departure (from house- I am not that hard-hearted!) is the unprecedented WINNER! Ok, your prize will be..hmmm... We may have to have a meeting on that...

I know... I know... But I have a sick boy and my husband has a blister on the side of his foot the size of Texas, he even came home from work today. Sooooooo since I can't do what I wanted to do today, which was nothing lol, and I am up and waiting on the two of them, I figured I would start packing.


Also, it's not who starts firsts, but who finishes LAST !!!!
But as you can see... I am right back here on the DIS... So while I am moving forward, I am also sitting still

I got a call from DU saying they got a call from DCL and they upgraded me AGAIN to a Cat 8 room - so basically the same type of room but higher up on the ship - LOL!

I am in room 5512 now. I went to the DCL site and was able to confirm that is my new room number. So folks might want to double check on their own their room #'s.

Could you update my room # on the big list Laura? It is great to be on the same deck as the kid's clubs....I think! LOL!

WOOT!! Nothing like a last minute upgrade. I DID change the map on the first page.... BUT... any further changes can be done at the Meet at 3pm (also now Boosgram is not the only DISer on Deck 5!!! woot!!!)

I encourage everyone to print out the maps, and even the first page with all the meet times and such and bring them to that first meet. (I tucked mine in my travel folder, for easy access

Suitcases 3 and 4 are close to full.... I think we will end up with 6 total... plus 2 empty bags packed in the full ones Although I hope to keep it to 5 suitcases... I am doubtful

Deck 5 is nice a quiet... not a lot of rooms so not a lot of noise. I think you will be very happy there

Thanks Laura - perhaps by the time we get to the ship I'll be upgraded to the Disney suite - LOL!

I was surprised they changed our room this close to sailing. DU said to just write our room number on the luggage tags and cross out the old number. Perhaps others with GTY's also got moved.

My 5yr old son keeps having lows this week at school (he is an insulin dependent diabetic) and so all of my packing plans are just out the window...I am spending a lot of time up at the school. Plus trying to get my older son's homework/classwork to take with us, etc. I just will throw the clothes in - maybe ending up with too much but so what I guess. We just will pile it on the luggage cart and throw it in the rental. I'm not going to drive myself nuts over packing.

Man I just am READY to get going!

Well a Cat 8 is pretty much like a Cat 9 - just higher up. Perhaps they moved us because we had connecting rooms with someone we didn't know and they ended up needing those. I'm just glad DU called or our luggage would have gone to the wrong room.

Okay...Making progress! I bought DH's pirate costume tonight during my precruise drugstore run. I still haven't found one for myself and DD. DS2 has a cute one I got month ago.

DD is completely packed. DS is half packed. DH is half packed and I am zero.


I have sooooo much to do at work this week! I still need a haircut and highlights...still need to pick up drycleaning. Aghh.


Plus I am getting achey and sore throat...MUST STAY WELL!!

Anyone else worried about getting sick just prior to the dream vacation?

I am madly packing.... I am up to 7 suitcases SEVEN!!! OMG My Husband is going to KILL ME!!!! AND I have TWO duffle bags packed in ohter suitcases for the trip home. OMG he is going to FLIP OUT!!!

Including formal night and pirate costumes doesn't seem all that bad to me...unless you also have 5 maxed out size carry ons. That's not even over the baggage limit for the planes.

We found out several years ago that it's WAY cheaper to take two suitcases and keep the weight under the 50 pound limit than to take ONE large one. I have to be really careful cause I'm taking DD's 27 incher and it can be expanded. It's MUCH too easy for that one to go over limit.
