Are we still waiting for a meeting place for margaritas tasting? Are they making a special meeting place for us or are we a part of the main event they already have planned?

I put a call into the Concierge Cast Member last week, and she never returned my call. I will call her again tomorrow, and if I dont hear back from her, I will arrange it once onboard. I have everyone's name and cabin number so I will leave messages for everyone as to the location, once on board.

And my DH took the news of 7 bags pretty well. I just started by saying.... Formal night, Semi Formal night Pirate night, Palo, 3 other dinners, day clothes SHOES... For FIVE people... then I mentioned also I could take out the fan (I bought a 10in box fan). He said, if we need 7 bags we bring 7 bags...

All I have to do is attend a conference call. Of course I worked almost 8 hours on Sunday so this is actually just a comp day but I'll have all day to work on Pirate costumes - couldn't find the t-shirts so I'm making DH and me shirts. Found some kool "Mr Smee" fabric for DH. I'm just gonna have a white "wench" blouse but no vest. Guess I'll have to make us sashes so we'll be in style.

Guess the serious packing will be done tomorrow night and Thursday. Hope to have it finished by midnight Thursday. We leave the house headed for the airport at 6:30 Friday..

The clock just struck midnight so now it's technically only TWO more days till we leave.

Ok, so we leave early AM thursday morning so I had to get off my duff and start the painful packing process. It looks like we will wind up with 8 bags (7 suitcases and 1 garment bag). That DOES NOT include the kids pilot cases for their kid stuff for plane ride and my carryon and our laptops. UUUGGGHH!!! My DH is ready to kill me (we should just be used to this by now, I get stressed and then we bicker) and he just can't understand why we need to bring "practically everything we own" as he says. I say, "Honey, I need options. It's all about having options. I'd rather have too much, than not enough..."

Can I get an "OH YEAH" from all the other ladies (and maybe the occasional man) who agree with me?

Oh yeah, I'm already prepared for the bickering w/ my dh all the way f/ shuttle parking until we check in at the airport. I did at least change my windshield wipers today, otherwise if it rained on the way to the airport he'd have something else to bicker w/ me about.

try mapquest.com for directions. i had good luck with that on some occasions. packing, what you need, and maybe will need, a man has a hard time understanding. but when you pull the rabbit out of the hat, he is grateful. so what if he grumbles now. you may save the day later. and families have lots of contingencies. especially on a 7 day trip. just go on and pack, whatever. i am and i am taking some stuff i think DM may need, too waiting for that meet,

I am not sure why - I have three days to pack - we don't leave until around4 pm Friday. There are 4 of us and one person is done - why am i freaking! Maybe it is because my almost 4 year old son will be home on Thursday and Friday - We switched him to a synagogue this year and while we are not religious at all the school takes off for every holiday. This week Simchat Torah - which I believe is when you start reading the Torah from the beginning each year. Anyway - I am getting anxious already.

OK-- looks like I might win the procrastinator's award!!

I still have nothing packed..Don't have anything organized to pack...Still have to do a Wally world trip for last minute things to get. Have laundry washed..but piles are not planned. Have magnets to print, itenerary to print, disboard stuff to print...and so much more! Oh yeah, and cruise docs to print...oh my gosh - I still have the Bahamas forms to fill out.. Calgon? anybody got Calgon? I am so ready to go but not ready to go on vacation...anybody understand that? Oh well, it will all come together, it always does.

Once again, it's as if I am hearing my own self speak!!! I am jealous of you, though. We only have one suitcase officially packed so far (DS's 'cause he's so easy!). I have a bunch of stuff laid out all over 2 different bedrooms and it's looking like I'll be taking WAY too much as usual. I could not agree more about needing options.....I'm off work today but have so much other stuff besides packing to do. Then work all day tomorrow and leave early Fri. am......... Wish me luck!!!

When it rains... it pours... Today I should be finishing up packing but NOOOOOOOOOOO I am waiting for the Doctor to call back... The boy has Strep, no biggy we are treating it, but last night the girls didn't look so good, so I kept them from school and I am trying to get them into see the doctor. Best I could do was get an appt for tomorrow (after our plane leaves) But I have a call into the nurse...

Worst case we go to the clinic down the street... If I get them started on antibotics NOW, they will be fine for the trip... ugh ugh ugh

Fun day Oh yeah Fun day.

Hey TexasGirl: you're not alone. I've come down with a little something too. Mines a tummy issue. I actually had to stop a deposition yesterday and go put wet paper towels on my neck and wrists. I can't believe I almost threw up on my attorney. That would have been just great. But my super sweet mom took my job over for today and my sweetie husband shut all the doors to the bedroom when he left for work so I wouldn't hear my office phone ringing this morning and I could sleep myself out. I slept 10 to 10. BUT I'm going to shake it off! I have three-ish days to get better and I'm going to do it! You feel better too. Personally I think it's prevacation overload. I've been super planning freak, packing freak, ironing freak, with more planning and working and getting everything done with work before I go, etc. I think my body just gave out on me. I don't know how people do it with kids too. Amazing.

I can't wait to see everyone and actually get this party started.

Going to be fun giving 3 kids antiboitcs over the cruise, butyou know what they say... mysery loves company! rofl I will line them up and boom boom boom dose them.

You can do it Laura! Just one thing at a time is the best way forward. I'm sure things will get worked out for the best. If it were me, I'd already be at the clinic down the street. I have no patience for dr's offices. At least not with mine. The only I've ever gotten good service from is my dentist, go figure. I'll be sending pixie dusting your way. We have GOT to all get better!

Yeah, I think this time of year is starting the colds and sickness...
DD has had a cough..keep hoping it is just allergy drainage.. DS was out from school Monday and Tuesday with stomach nasties..throwing up (both ends). He's back at school and DD - I am giving cough and allergy meds to. Sheesh!! this needs to smooth out for all of us! This cannot happen! We must all meet. If someone gts sick and cannot come..well, we will just have to get together outside the cruise. Anybody got frequent flyer miles we can use?
Feel like I know so many of you already that it will be like losing my best friend if you don't show up! All better now for everyone!

I just got thru unpacking 2 suit cases and repacking them. Had to rearrange where everything was. Now I'm so confused. Took for ever to find my dental care package (brush, toothpaste, floss, etc.)

Does anyone know if you are allowed to bring a pair of small scissors and a small nail file on the ship?
