**@@** October 6th, 2007 Magic**@@**

Are we just chatting here on the board or is there a chat room?

I've been out all day.

Please provide a link

We're in the chat room now - 9 PM!

Look at the red bar near the top of the web page here at the Dis and it says Chat - click on that and scroll down to the cruise chat room!

Sorry I was late everyone! Getting kids off to bed! Well I think it was a wonderful chat tonight... SPEED READING really was a needed skill there for a while, but still fun!

We peaked at 13 guests! And even had Mamasita (a mod here) pop in for a bit. :-) (we were good the whole time)

We should try and do it again. Maybe do a kids chat...

Anyway Big hugs to all that made it and bigger hugs to those that didn't We sure hope you can make the next one!

:goodvibes :dance3: YE! lots of fun...seemed too short. Got late quick and so many had to leave. Was very fast-paced for a bit and hard to follow...but neat to talk real-time...

:surfweb: It is now my bedtime..see ya all later!! :upsidedow

too much other stuff going on I think I talked to my Mom, Cousin, Son and DD between 7 and 8:30. The Magic had a late night in Key West so DD called to chat on the phone a bit. We're trying to coordinate her next vacation. The Airfare rates in March are OUTRAGEOUS. Roundtrip from MCO to Dallas in January is $225pp- in February-March it's $557pp :scared1: :scared1: That really puts a dent in the budget when you have two crew members flying who don't make HUGE salaries anyway.

I missed the chat too, darn it!!! I totally forgot. We are 3 hours earlier here and so we were out taking care of errands. I hope you all had fun and I look forward to chatting for real and in person real soon.......

Good morning! I am so sad I missed the chat last night!!! We just had too much going on and too much to catch up on yet for me to make it over to the computer. Believe me, I really wanted to. Do we have another chat date set up yet???

I am getting so excited! Yesterday, all I could think of was that we would be in Key West in exactly two weeks. Now we would be beyond!

:cheer2:

:cool1: :dance3: :cool1:
DOCS ARE HERE!! Ok, so I haven't picked them up from the TA yet..but she called! I figured I would get a call today. I wasn't too worried about it...:rolleyes1

Just glad we are finally allowed to join the rest of the crowd!

LILDEB>>>> were you ever able to fill out your forms online?? I would call DCL today and ask about it. ((hugs))

I think I might IRON some things today :scared1:

Well it seems at some point to threw out my ironing board... lol I was in bad shape, so I must have gotten mad and tossed it. So YAY for ironing for me today!!

Also in my efforts to find information and photos on Boatswains Beach I found this link

The snorkle lagoon looks HUGE! (the pictures should rotate)

Fellow cruisers...
Is it really necessary to pay for admission to a beach? I'm just wondering because we would like to do this but were going to go the route of asking a cab driver to just drive us to a nice beach...will we really miss out on something? Will we be disappointed?

I would ask this question on the MAIN DCL board. Just let them know which ports and I bet you get a lot of answers pretty quick :-)

Ok, I admit it. My impatience got the better of me and I took an early lunch so I could go to TA to get docs. I now have them in my hot little hands! :thumbsup2 and they feel good!! :cloud9: :woohoo:
Is it Friday (that's Oct 28th Friday) yet?? I am getting so excited..butterflies are roaming! :hippie: It does something to you to actually have the docs doesn't it?

Every port I looked at charges something for beaches (it seems like). They have us tourists coming and going..Good luck in finding a free beach! If you do find one you might relay the info here...bet lots of people would like free, too!

I did repost my question on the main board...as I said on there, I have traveled many places in the world and I have never had to pay to use a beach. But I have never been to the Caribbean and it could very well be different there. Or it could just be a matter of "you get what you pay (or don't pay!) for."

The reason I brought it up is that I asked my husband if he thought we should book something like this. He also has traveled a lot (including the Caribbean) and he does not believe it is necessary. For example, he said Seven Mile Beach is beautiful and that a good cab driver should know exactly where to take us if we ask, and it should not have to cost a penny to lay your blanket out and use the sand and water. I know if you want a place with nice chairs, umbrella, water toys, etc., you would need to look at something like a resort beach. But with the white sand and crystal blue waters, is there such a thing as a "bad beach" in Grand Cayman? I don't know. :confused3

I'm so jealous that everyone is receiving their cruise docs! We called and DCL sent them to our TA on Sept. 19. They should have received them by now and I hope to receive them by the end of the week. We booked with an online agent so it is not a local one I could just drive up to and beg to get them....but I would be tempted to if I could! :dance3:

 Yes! it makes a huge difference having those tickets in your hand. It makes it all the more real, like I'm really, really going on a Disney cruise. Really. YEAH!!!! :rotfl2:
