In the docs you get your luggage tags, your boarding pass, the bahamas immigration form , you need to fill out, and a checklist pamplet. :dance3:

:cool1: Boy, I sure am hoping for an upgrade. We downgraded to save money...gee wonder why..two surgeries in one year are bound to drain anyone's finances! And frankly, if I wasn't past the time to move the reservations and if DGM wasn't involved, I prolly would postpone the cruise. Much as I would hate to...needs come before wants. But never fear..we will be there to bug all of you! I can't postpone DGM cruise...don't know how much longer she will be able to do things like this and we are pushing it now. I will just pay it off slower than I had planned. Dr's sure know how to ruin a good thing!:sad2: :wizard: So send me Pixies to win the lottery...hey, if I do I will treat all of you! :rotfl: :lmao: ('course, it does help win the lottery if you PLAY the lottery... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: )I never play..odds are just not good enough and I think of all the good things I could buy with the lottery ticket money...hmmm like chocolate..<sigh> and electricity, and gas, and then more gas..( I have a very LARGE van- likes gas and lots of it!) :3dglasses

We are north of Dayton (West Ohio) close to Indiana border. We are flying out of Dayton. Might have gotten cheaper airflight if we had flown out of a bigger airport but frankly- wanted convenience. Thought about Cincinnati...but the drive...I plan on vacation! Not driving my life away!:cool1:
First time flying, first time cruising..so many firsts! Can't wait! plan on having as much fun as I can handle!! Figure the marguarita tasting will help with that one! :lmao: :lmao:

:thumbsup2 You did a good thing flying out of Dayton, we sometimes do that too. flying out of Cincinnati is the MOST expensive in the area. we are actually flying out of Indy. :)

Oh, I do hope you get upgraded, but glad you'll be joining us regardless pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:. DGM is lucky to have you (and I know what you mean about doing things while you can; sadly my DM is past that point physically--our challenge was finding care for her while I'm gone)!!

Oh, and we never play the lotto either (chances somewhere between slim and none).

Is there a Bob Evans restaurant close to your house?

My DW sure loves the biscuits (minus the gravey). Could you bring 1/2 a dozen on the cruise?

My youngest daughter will be 9 in November. Is your DD planning to dress like a princess on the cruise?

There is a Bob Evan's about 7 minutes away from us... Hmmm bring u some biscuits, huh? I just might be able to accomodate you.

DD is not planning on dressing up herself but she is bringing a friend (build-a-bear) that is going to dress-up. DD is so very shy. Takes so long to warm up to people and situations that she misses out on things sometimes. I hate that she has such a tough time. DD is a Nintendo DS player is yours? If so, have her bring hers and maybe they can play together. Might bring her out quicker.

On a good note, we got flight information but not documents. TA is handling things so we won't get to wait on the big brown truck. She will call us when docs are here. One thing I am worried about is that we have a one hour layover in Atlanta...this scares me because of flight delays and the size of Atlanta airport. :scared1: DGM just can't move that quick and even tho we will have a wheelchair for her I worry about the time crunch. I may call TA and see if we can get a slightly later flight. We will arrive in Orlando at 5pm on Friday night right now, but that might change. :confused3

:sad2: :sad1: :sad2: :sad2: pirate: BUMMED
So sad...no upgrade...but we do have our room number now...

For ME, DS, DD:
Ship Accommodation: Stateroom #: 2088
Category 12: Standard Inside Stateroom

For DM, DGM:
Ship Accommodation: Stateroom #: 2090
Category 12: Standard Inside Stateroom

Good news- we are close together..I think. Will have to look at the ship diagram.
Laura, if you want to make our room additions to your list that would be great. At least we have a room and will be on the ship! Would have been cool to have a window..but it is still cool to be going on the ship! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Bummer about no upgrade BUT I really think being right next door to each other is SUPER! It will be very convienent You quite lucky to be so close to each other!

And I am soooooooooooo far behind on the room list. I have a bunch of new cruisers to add... sigh I will get to it all soon.

:lmao: :lmao: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :cool1:

I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO wrong! I assumed just because the reservation still said cat 12 that was what we had... I checked ! WE GOT UPGRADED TO 9's!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :scared1:
Isn't that great??? DD is so tickled!! We will have sunlight! No vampires for us!  :hippie:

LOL! I did the same thing - the ressie still says CAT 12 even though the room is a CAT 9. I was sorta bummed until I looked up where the room was and even then I had to look about 10x thinking I was mistaken. Then I read somewhere that even if you are upgraded by them they still list the same category was what you paid. I think others have been surprised by that too. Imagine not realizing until you got to the ship!

Congrats!!!!!:dance3: I'm down the hall from you - FYI - course that might be a big hallway - I can't really get a sense of the size. I'm in 2038 on the same side as you.

You know what the greatest thing is?... I downgraded us from a cat 9 to cat 12 to save money with everything that has happened this year... So now I still get the cat 9 we originally wanted...The year has been so rough..this is like a cloudy day suddenly bursting into sunlight with clear blue skies! :) :flower3:

Quoted from Selket: 'I'm down the hall from you - FYI - course that might be a big hallway - I can't really get a sense of the size. I'm in 2038 on the same side as you' -- That is so cool!! Are you going to have a door magnet? So we can identify you? Mine will be the ocean blue 1/2 mickey head with my dis board name on it. Since they go even and odd- would that be just 20 doors down? We are right in the midship area so I guess you could say we are 1/2 way between here and there...!! :woohoo: :rotfl: :lmao:

Wow, how did I get so out of the loop??? Today I just realized that I haven't gotten an email posting update for a while but I did not believe the board was dead...and I come on and have about 5 pages to catch up on!!!!

First of all, I am a school secretary and we do not have any week long fall breaks. Where do you all live/work?!?!?!?

Laura-I would love to go on the stateroom tours! Are you serious that someone would want to see a regular cat 11? If so, I'm sure I can provide mine...but it just seems so ordinary.

Buttons-I need to order mine!

Door signs-where do I go to make one? We just print them off at home, right? I don't know where to even begin. :confused3

I've organized my Disney binder with all my oh-so-important information (DH thinks I am crazy!). I've started a small pile to pack for DD and I have started two lists: what to buy and what to pack.:rolleyes1

I'm currently on the search for water shoes for DD. I know they are not necessary so I won't be heartbroken if I don't find them but they would be nice. She is just too tiny and I can't find any size 3-4 toddler!

I just ordered her a little Tinkerbell costume. She has a pirate one that will be a tad too big and then she will have this one, which should fit her a little better.

I can't believe I will be at WDW in just three weeks!!!!!! :cloud9:

You're right to be worried about Atlanta. That used to be my home airport so I'm used to it, but it can be a real bear to get through. My .02 is an hour is not enough. If for no other reason than the worry of it will drive you nuts even if there isn't a problem. To make it in an hour you would at least need everything to line up at the same terminal. I don't know what the chances are on that, but for me it NEVER seems to happen. Personally, I think they have it in for me! LOL

I have seen little speedy "super golf carts" for lack of a better description that the airport staff use to move older people and their families through the airport more quickly. I don't know if you just catch their attention or if the desk at the arrival gate can call it for you.

I have used the Golf Cart transport at ATL. I flew very pregnant alone with my two DD who were 2 and 3 at the time, we had a 45 minute layover. The Crew on our flight called ahead and had it waiting for us. This was 6 years ago, but it's worth looking into.

Bellestella... Dont say ORDINARY!! That's not what the tour is about. It's to let us all see the differnces in person. Maybe some feel that a Cat 11 would not be a good choice for their family, UNTIL THEY SEE IT. I know as my kids get older and we spend less time in the room, we will be able to shift to more expensive excruisions and a smaller cabin. Does that make sense?

Plus dont forget the YouTube vidoe I want to do. I know there are thousands of crazed Disney fans who would LOVE to get a good view of all Catagories. :thumbsup2

I can't beleive 3 more weeks. I just can't beleive it! I am way too excited for words. BUT so much real life stuff to deal with before then. I MUST get my Brownie troop up and running for the year, School fundrasing (we are trying to raise enough for a new playground) and such.

It is nice to see this thread hopping! Woot woot! :dance3:
