Yes, we're also having fun with the cold (although not nearly as cold as you all, but still pretty cold for us Virginians, 5-10 degrees some nights), and, really, my biggest pleasure now is reading about WDW and DCL. Anticipation.....

Well, I've been keeping occupied laying a false trail for DH. It's kinda fun I have to admit. I can't decide between going to the Halloween Party or staying at the port. I've laid the ground work for the port though. It went something like, let's start our vacation at the port. I've read about some great resturants around there and I would really like to see the Kennedy Center. Your mom and dad and sis and brother in law can drive over and have dinner with us since that's pretty close for them. Plus, we can sort of get the lay of the land for if we go on a Christmas cruise with my family. We'll already know where the Publix is and the McDonald's.

He totally went for it!

Then there was the problem of how to get his suit packed without arousing suspicion so that coversation went like this: Hey, honey, it's our seven year anni and I would really like to eat at Victoria and Alberts at the Grand Floridian. Would it be too much of a drag to pack your suit just for one dinner though? I got the nope, I don't mind if that's what you want to do. Notice how I made it look like it was up to him, his choice, suit or no suit. They teach that in Wife 101.

Now, the only thing that might ruin me is the fact that I'm planning this trip in October, and our upcoming trip to the World for Flower and Garden is in April and I'm sort of cruising on auto for that one. So he might find that strange as usually I'm all over it. But I made sure to book dinner ressies and a tour of the World Showcase and to talk about times and discounts and stuff when he was home instead of while he was at work, which is what I would usually do. That way it seems to him like I've got April in the bag and have moved on to October.

So far I think the wool is staying pulled over his eyes. Who knew how much fun that was going to be.

Stenogoddess, perhaps you could persuade him that you're going to WDW in October for the Food and Wine Fest?

Speaking of food and wine, I just spent 2 1/2 hours shoveling snow and sleet, so what did I do next? Came inside, had some lunch, read some more DCL posts, and had a Mud Slide. Oh, yeah!

BTW I added the actual dates to call in to book our excruisions to the second post of this thread, instead of just how many days until we can book...

MY DH is cluelss about everything... in fact is was a couple of months after I booked this cruise that I told DH about... lol He was like... Ok remind me again when it get's closer! (and sadly he means like a week or two before the cruise! he is way to care free about vacations and thinks all the places we eat magically has room for us!!)

Don't I know it! DH is also pretty oblivious. The upside is we can make the plans WE want.

How is everyone doing? I am trying to make plans for Sping Break trip (short non disney trip lol) and also a short big girls only trip, which will prolly be at WDW (love WDW without the kids! rofl)

Everyone excited aobut the 2 new DCL ships! Although 2011 and 2012 is a long way off, it still puts our family at good ages to sail on one of them. I can dream cant I?

How is everyone doing? Weather here SUCKS! Ice all over the roads... so we are stuck inside today! I am so ready for spring... and summer... Our pool is currently an ice skating rink (not really)

I need sun! I need Warm! I need the next 200 some odd days to FLY!

Everybody is sick here. My poor DH actually came home early on Friday and called in today. That never happens, so I can only assume he really is bad off. I'm trying to avoid getting it, but really what are the chances of that?

I'm sorry about your bad weather. We are having the problem the other way. Spring has already started here. As a matter of fact, we only got about three weeks of winter this year. Sounds great, I know, but it's really not. All of our flowers are confused about that to do. My bulbs didn't come up this year. The city has already started drought watering restrictions because it's not raining like it's supposed to. The worst part is it didn't get cold enough to really kill of the skeeters and midges and other annoying summer bugs. And lastly, when spring starts like this, summer is just a hot, nasty bear.

I guess the up side is St. Patrick's Day will be nice. We're expecting 100,000 tourists in for it. I think I'm staying home!

I'll send warm thoughts your way.

HI! Welcome to our thread and welcome to the Dis. You're going to love it here. The cruise and scrapbook forums are my favorite. I've learned so much about WDW, and now, cruiseing. I'm so excited for all of us to go on this great trip.

My tip on flying is to take my ipod and listen to my music. It helps to cut down on the engine noise and just general plane noise. Chills me right out.

Actually- when it comes to flying, it's not the flight that worries me. It's the getting through the airport. I have never even been inside an airport. I am so worried we will miss our flight. Its 8 months away and I am already having nightmares

One reason why we are letting Disney do all the planning and transporting...worth the extra $ for the peace of mind.

My goodness - these days are dragging!

My DH and I just got back from Mexico so now I can really get excited about DCL - like I wasn't already! I had to pretend to be pumped about Mexico because it was just the two of us.....but deep inside I am planning our days on the DCL.

To help pass the time I have "offiially" started my lose weight campaign for summer and cruise. Oh-can't have that can I?

Welcome to all the new DISers that have joined and booked with us. My Dds (12 and 9) are so excited. Did you guys see the post with some of the new activities for the kids? They sounded so fun I am wondering if I could pass for a 12 year old. Don't forget that Luvmygrumpy was kind enough to start a thread for all the kids to start chatting. Our girls have hooked up and are already fast friends! The more friends they have the more time they will spend in the clubs which or course means more massages for me!

Diet!!... Boy I've heard that all the food causes at least a 5lb weight gain. I need to lose a ton before I can gain those 5 lbs!

All,

Well, it's FINALLY official, we are booked for the October 06, 2007 voyage on the Disney Magic. We are gonna be staying in Cat11 6139, and look forward to meeting with the fellow DISers on board. We are so excited and it will be murder to wait 8 months, so I cant imagine what those of you who booked a year ago have been going through.

It will be our first cruise, and my first time on a plane, and we are:

Welcome to the new people that have joined us! You sure have come to the right place for information. Please do not be afraid to ask anything, no question is a bad question. I don't know if taking your first cruise with Disney is a good idea though....now the bar is set so high for any other cruise lines that you might take in the future! You are going to really be spoiled now! Really though, you are going to have the times of your lives...we do, that's why we keep coming back. Where else can you go with that is totally kid friendly as well as adult friendly and get first rate service?

It has been a long while that I have posted (I have been keeping up reading though). Things are so busy for us right now as we are in full golf season at our course. Everywhere else in the world it is freezing so all the people from all of your respective states come to AZ in the winter and they all seem to be playing golf at our place. I'm not complaining though, it's a good thing for us!

I hope everyone is well and can't wait until we start getting close to our real count down. We are going to Alaska on Princess in June so our Disney cruise is somewhat put on the back burner. We also need to decide where we want to stay before the DCL cruise. We decided on the DBC (Disney Beach Club)for after so before we thought we would try Sea World for before. Anyone have any good recommendations for a hotel near there? My kids want the Nickelodeon Hotel. It looks really cute but is about 6 miles away from Sea World.
