October 5, 2008 Wonder Cruise!

...when did the itin change for this cruise? I went online to copy down my CC shore excursions and noticed it's now on Wed...

Port Canaveral
Day at Sea
Nassau
Castaway Cay

Did I miss something?? I was really looking forward to the last day being a little bit more relaxing...

I am NOT at all prepared for this cruise!! Help!! I don't know what my problem is, I am usually a huge planner. Oh yeah - could it be that I've just moved half-way across the country and I finally got my stuff away from the move this past weekend?

The only reservations I have are for our flights, the cruise itself, and for my WDW nights after the cruise. I have no other reservations made - not even for the night before the cruise. I need a good kick in the pants to get me motivated

That sorta messes up my plans... I wonder if they are changing things because of Hurricanes? That wouldn't make since because it's way too far in advance. I hope they change it back.

They said that it was "so guests can relax as soon as you get on the ship". At least that's what this agent said. It looks like my brunch reservation moved with the Day at Sea, but I have yet to figure out formal/pirate night/cruise casual schedule.

There are only 4 four night cruises that are doing this - and we are smack dab in the middle. Though you never know what might happen with hurricane season too!

Ok…I just got off the phone with Ruby at DCL. As of right now here is the itinerary for the October 5 Wonder cruise:

Sunday October 5th: The evening’s entertainment will be The Golden Mickeys

Monday, October 6th: Day at Sea - with the evening’s entertainment being a variity show.

Tuesday, October 7th: Nassau - with the evening’s entertainment being Toy Story Aso on deck, The Pirates in the Caribbean deck party.

Wednesday, October 8th: Castaway Cay - with the evening’s entertainment being Disney Dreams.

If you had Palo brunch reservations they moved with the day at sea.

I went on line to change my Palo dinner reservations but all of the Palo reservation times...I mean all of them are all booked up.

The one thing I tried to figure out was when the pirates in the Caribbean party was so that I would have in conflict with my Palo reservation. And that's exactly what happened :( I suppose now they are going to tell me that my dinning rotation has us in Triton's that same night too so I won't get to experience that restaurant either :(
Has anyone ever had luck changing a palo reservation after they board?

I have been lurking for a while but figured I would introduce myself and travel companions. My name is Scott I am bringing along my wife, DS 2, MIL, and FIL. We are celebrating the in-laws 40th anniversary. We are spending 4 days at SSR a night in PC then off on the cruise.

When they changed the itinerary they moved our Palo reservations so it stayed on the day at sea. However our reservations for Flounders were cancelled instead of moved.

We look forward to meeting some of you on the cruise!

Thanks for the itinerary change update. I got my Comfort Suites reservation changed. Any idea if they changed the all aboard time in Nassau?

Thanks for the info Coach!

Welcome Shaw!!!

It looks like it stays the same - I'm glad I didn't make the horseback riding reservations yet!

:welcome: Scott! What a great way to celebrate a special occassion! What day is their anniversary and did you let Disney know about this?

Thanks for the updates. I must say, though, that I've gone from a loser-procrastinator to a planning genius overnight! I had nothing scheduled until yesterday. :rotfl2:

I got my "official" letter from DCL today about our revised itinerary. It says pretty much the same thing we've all mentioned - "get in the spirit of sailing" as well as "greater fuel efficiences in our shipboard operation".

Go figure!

Though they also gave me a page on our pre reserved services - and our Palo brunch only states one name....is that the same for everyone else who's reserved that?

There anniversary is actually Sept 21st. I am traveling for work until the 22nd so we are celebrating a bit late.

We got our updated itinerary today as well.

Our paperwork only had one name too for Palo.

Hi everyone -- sorry I've been MIA lately. Been having "technical" difficulties with my computer. The old one finally gave out and I had to bite the bullet and buy a new one.

Glad I checked in on our cruise thread... Had no idea DCL swapped around the ports of call. Wow... that sort of messes up things. We have our Palo dinner scheduled for the first night. And now it seems we'll be having our Palo Brunch on the following day. I was trying to split up the experiences... Oh well. I shouldn't be complaining... I mean, hey, we'll be on a disney cruise, right !!!

Only 28 days before we sail away...:thumbsup2

Scott - you should let DCL know because they will probably bring over an anniversary cake after dinner. I know on my last cruise they did this. Annmarie

Who's packing yet?

I am starting to take inventory anyway....we are getting closer.

My "list" is done, though I have to retype it for our new itinerary now. I think we are planning on doing most of our packing this weekend. I just have to remind Bob to check his list of clothes when he puts them in the suitcase! That's what bothers me - don't double pack things! :faint:

Just so I'm clear - for shore excursions and timing now - if we have first dining, dinner is at 5:45pm and the show is at 8:30pm; second dining is at 8:15pm and the show at 5:45pm...correct?
