We bought the ears and headbands last trip. I tore them off and sewed them onto some ebay hats - Bob wouldn't be caught dead in the tophat and a baseball cap is second skin for him.

What a great idea with the baseball caps. Are you starting to get nervous about the wedding? When we were on the 2006 DVC Member Cruise there was a couple that got married while onboard the Wonder.

Not really nervous - I think it's the details that are getting to me now. The "pay this" or "don't forget about this" or "where is this person gonna be" and "what time" is getting to me.

I'm excited to get on the ship! I want to get my hair cut ASAP! It's definately too long and needs to be cut! That and the relaxation is what I'm looking forward too.

How long is your hair? I've been growing mine out for a while to donate to Locks for Love. They make wigs using real hair for children and adults who have lost their hair from chemo, radiation, etc.

Some salons state they will take 8 inches or more and others state a minimum of 10 inches.

I donated my hair to locks of love. I heard it had to be 10 inches and mine was just barely there. I wish I would have cut my hair shorter in order to donate more like 11 or 12 inches because you figure there is probably about a half inch of split ends or just unevenness that needs to be cut, and when you put the ten inches up to the scalp that means that the wig is really going to be pretty short. I know when I was little all I wanted was pretty long hair, so I would assume a lot of these girls would want there wigs to be as long as possible too.

I was bummed when I sent off the hair because I was expecting a little more information about the company or something, but when they received it they just emailed me a congratulations letter. That was it. I thought maybe it would be a bigger deal for some reason. Well it was to me cutting off 10 inches of hair!

It's not that long - Normally I'm right above the shoulder with natural curl, but now it's only about 4 inches down the back. (If I reach behind my back I still can't grab my hair...if that makes any sense!)
I'd love to let it get that long - but I don't think I'll make it by the wedding.

I'm off to go read the meet from 10/2 to see if they've heard rumors of document printing!!!

Wow only 53 days left i feel so bad I haven't had tome to post on the page. It seems to be so close yet so far away lol!! Has everyone booked there ressies at Palo's and if you have little one like us (ds will be 5 months) book flounders ok? Speaking of flounders has anyone used there services? I was wondering how they are with lil ones? First time dw and I will be leaving ds with strangers.
Can't wait for the next days to fly by and finally be on the deck of the Wonder!!!

My DD donated her hair to Locks of Love in January. The lady said she was cutting off 6 inches, but actually cut 10. I did some research and found that they take hair shorter than 10 inches, but they turn around and sell it to another organization because it takes at least 10 inches to make a wig. I can't believe how fast her hair has grown already.

We are so excited about the cruise. I don't get much opportunity to post as we are really busy, but I do hope to get to meet some of you. We have scheduled our Palo's dinner for the night at sea at 6:30 I think.

Just a quick update...I have been having some health issues over the past two weeks....and it may just put our vacation at risk...i am working really close with my doctors to get the issues under control so we can go and my boyfriend is working harder at seeing if he can get off work...because me being the only one that can do the driving may be the big issue right now.

Patty - coming your way. I have been dealing with lower back and sciatica issues for over a year and finally had surgery in June but still having problems. I hope you feel better soon and your health doesn't put your trip in jeopardy. Annmarie

Thanks guys...I am having dangerously high blood pressure issues right now. I went to the doctor the other day and it was 280/146...I was put in the hospital for observation and put on medication. It has come down some. I have had 4 mini strokes already...yes at the age of 32. If it doesn't get under much better control, I am just not comfortable going so far from home being the only one who can drive. I already have a problem where I have a shunt in my brain and have a shunt in, so I already have that strike against me. Please keep me in you t & p's

I have a costume my Mom made me a few Halloweens ago and I was going to wear it to MNSSHP as well as the Party, but my bf keeps saying that it's too much. I tried to tell him that EVERYONE dresses up, but he doesn't believe me... So you guys dress up right?

Sure.
I've been looking online at a few costumes but haven't found anything that I feel can take up suitcase space yet (and at a good price). So that's where I'm at right now! In a few weeks, we have a "store" that pops up for Halloween only supplies...I might check more then.

MNSSHP is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Some of us are arriving early or staying late to attend this at the Magic Kingdom. You can dress up (which makes Pirate Night on the ship even better because then you have a costume for MNSSHP too!)

I feel your pain! When I first stumbled onto this website I couldn't "break the code." I kept messaging my boyfriend who use to work there to see if he knew. Then I resorted to using Google and then I found this thread that explained it all. Apparently they won't let me post it until I have posted 10 times, and since I only have 4, I can't do it. But you can use Google and use search sentences like "what does MNSSHP mean?" and it usually will bring up something.
