October 31, 2009

Sorry I have been MIA. Rough fall. I came down with the flu Monday and it started developing into pneumonia, so big doses of antibiotics. Bright side is that I will be over with this by the cruise. The whole family got on prescriptions of tamiflu, so they should be able to avoid getting sick (or at least be over it by boarding time).

Last weekend, I had a fabulous time seeing Wicked. The music was amazing. Kids, DH, and I had a great time at Miley Cyrus concert last night. I dosed up on extra cough medicine and tylenol and went too. I couldn't miss seeing their excited faces. It was worth it.

Hopefully I can get my cruise documents done. I think I'm going to have to be satisfied with the magnets I have done. I'm running out of time. Still have to finish the names on the FEs and the kids FEs. Only 2 more weekends.

I was compiling all of my reservations into one document today. I realized that there was no Radisson confirmation email. I called and there was no email because there was no reservation. :confused3 Luckily I could still get a room (more than I was initially going to pay). I guess it pays to be Type A and double check everything a least 2-3 times.

We had a productive Saturday!:)

We completed printing our magnets, just need to cut them out later.

We printed our transfers for our fish extender that Diane finished sewing last night, since she got her sewing machine back from the repair shop yesterday.

We ironed on the transfers to the fish extender and I just need to cut the dowel and drill holes in it for the ribbon to hang it.

We printed all the iron-on transfers for our four t-shirts and ironed on all the large logos onto the back. As soon as those are done cooling we will iron on the front small logos.

Well it is time to start the front logos. I know that Kelly suggested to use another t-shirt with a logo on the pocket, to get the position correct, thanks for the tip Kelly.

Well the front logos are done and we are pretty happy with the way they came out. Hopefully there will be no t-shirt police on board making sure that the logos are in the same place on each ! :rotfl2:

I believe that we also took into consideration that we are going to be wearing these on a cruise ship so I am sure that the ebb and flow of the open water will compensate for any variation in the placement of the logos!:cool1:

The most important thing I have to report is the fact that Diane and I did 6 or 7 projects today and we are still speaking! :lmao: :lmao:

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend!

Hey Charlene:

Have you made any parking arrangements for Philly yet. If you want I will PM you with details who we are using offsite for 6.49 a day.

Just let me know.

Hi! I just noticed this question! Sorry I didn't answer earlier... I think we're going to have family drop us off and then hopefully pick us up or maybe take the Rapid Rover home since we're right over the Walt Whitman Bridge (live about 20 minutes from Philly). That's the plan so far. :)

We went and picked up our criuse documents and got a map of Key West. Asked for a map of Cozumel, but they gave us a map of Mexico with a little dot that says Cozumel. So that will not help much. LOL :lmao::rotfl2:

Went to see Toy Story 1&2 3D. Decided to go ahead and go. I am glad we did. It felt long sitting there watching them back to back, not sure I would want to on the cruise. A lot of children in the theatre could not sit that long and were asking to leave.

Alexa is not acting herself. Hope she did not get what Adam had last week. Going to put her to bed early and hope that a good night sleep is enough. Wish us luck!

I am MAJORLY impressed with the amount of patience Diane must have shown to sit side by side with you and compelte all those projects. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Seriously, I am very impressed you got all that done.. We did no cruise anything today as it was my mom's 77th Bday, we took her to breakfast, to get her her first Cell phone ;) and then we went to Charlottesville and went apple picking.. It was such a fun, relaxing day..

Does anyone know, and I'm sure someone does, if you have to pre-arrange to have the crews' tips billed to your cabin? Or is this something that can be done once on board? In the past we have left cash, but I don't want to be responisble for carrying, and not losing, a couple hundred dollars.

I'm getting over a cold/flu thing myself. Had it all week and will hopefully pass it quickly to rest of family. I know that sounds cruel, but better now than in 2 weeks while in WDW.

And, we made our Disneyland reservations for next April (Charlie's 4th birthday). We're going to stay at the Villas at the Grand Californian. I was scared that once this cruise was over I would have nothing to plan for. Whew!

Kevin - So sorry you've been sick and ye, better now than in a few weeks. I am being so careful on who I am around and what Itouch. I am so scared to catch this flu going around.

Yes you can prepay. You just need to call DCL and tell them you wish to do this and they will let you charge it over the phone, or you can do it when you get on the ship by charging the tips to your stateroom accounts. Either way works. You just mark the slips on the last day that you charged to your cabin and the crew members "cash" those tickets in for their tips.

Thanks. I figured it would be easy to part with my money.

We started packing today since the weather is starting to cool down and we can now pack clothes from the summer. My bedroom looks like an assembly line with 4 large suitcases on a 6-foot table. Makes it easy to drop stuff into the right suitcase though. To say my family and I are excited about this trip would now officially qualify as an understatement.

DS did a fashion show for us last night on which shorts to pack. I think he is a little excited.

However...can someone explain how a pirate costume disappears? Bought one two weeks ago, and now it is no where to be found in our house. I am glad it did not cost very much. I am sure as soon as a buy another one the first one will show up. I guess I will hold on to the receipt so I can return it when we find the original one. :rotfl:

pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:Sending some pixie dust everyone's way! Hoping we are all healthy for the cruise.:goodvibes

Hi Kelly! Wish your mom Hapy Birthday from me! Wow;she'll have fun with her phone:goodvibes

I had to pre-pay my tips due to being a TA. All you have to do is call DCL and they will be more than happy to help you out. On our last cruise we also put money in our onboard account before we left...whenever the CAD$ was high and what we didn't use DCL just put back on our credit card...the whole $11.00:goodvibes

Look forward to chat tonight!

We finally finished our FE. It turned out really well. Hope you all like it.

Sorry the pictures are not that great.

I'm glad you mentioned that, Jen. I may pass on taking Jaydin. I wondered about the fact that it was so long. I just don't know that she could handle it, either.

Glad Alexa is feeling better!!!
